LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Seo Yi-kyung's (Lee Si-young) life has been scarred by catastrophes since the arrival of the monster breakout in 'Sweet Home,' which is expected to conclude with the release of the third and final season on Friday, July 9, 2024.

Based on the webtoon of the same name, the show follows experienced firefighter Seo Yi-kyung as she embarks on a perilous expedition in Season 1 to find her missing fiancé, but things take a dark turn when she gives birth to a monster child.

However, things quickly get complex as the little girl turns from a monster to a human, hinting at her significance in combating the outbreak.

Yi-kyung learns that her fiancé, Nam Sang-won (Lee Sin-Seong), has been transformed into a skeleton condition by experimentation but in a shocking turn of events, Yi-kyung unexpectedly gives birth to her daughter.

Turns out that her daughter is a special kid with the capacity to transform humans into monsters and control their thoughts.

The newborn baby gradually transforms herself into a human despite being born as a monster.

Despite Yi-kyung's best attempts to keep her daughter secret, the young girl's abilities emerge, exposing her as a fast-aging and strong neo-human.

Yi-kyung's remorse for birthing a monster drives her to abandon the daughter with Cha Hyun-su (Song Kang), but she returns troubled as she get overwhelmed with regret and tried to kill herself by setting fire to her boat, leading Hyun-su to intercede and seek treatment.

Despite attempts to preserve her, Yi-kyung's health deteriorates owing to a lack of oxygen.

In a tragic moment, Yi-kyung's daughter, feeling Hyun-su's desire for Yi-kyung's survival, unwillingly transforms her mother into a monster to save her life, a choice that severely pains Hyun-su since it goes against Yi-kyung's intentions.

Based on the show's trailer, it is clear that Yi-kyung will return, but her reconciliation with her daughter is also important, as her daughter emerges due to the fact that she is an exceptional neo-human.

Despite being born with the monster curse,Yi-kyung's daughter possesses unique abilities that set her apart from both humans and neo-humans.

Her character, as the girl with the ability to transform humans into monsters and control their thoughts, plays an important role, implying that she holds the key to understanding and maybe resolving the supernatural monster curse that plagues the series.

As the only known example of someone born with the curse and subsequently growing into a neo-human, her ability to change and manipulate others makes her invaluable in the fight against monsters.

Overall, the young girl can also constitute a danger to humanity, and to prevent this, she must first make peace with her mother, since the young girl believes her mother hates her, which is why she abandoned her.
