'Succession' Season 3 Episode 8 Spoilers: Did Lukas burn Roman Roy?
Roman Roy (Kieran Culkin) was the man who had the last laugh at Kendall's(Jeremy Strong) 40th birthday party. He rubbed it in for Shiv (Sarah Snook) about her inability to ever find a win in her dad's eyes. He doesn't consider Connor (Alan Ruck) as competition, and he certainly has this uncanny knack of getting Logan's support when he needs it. However, this may change in the penultimate episode of 'Succession' Season 3.
And we're not talking about the sure-to-fail relationship with Gerri (J Cameron-Smith). It's the latest deal he's struck with Lukas Matsson (Alexander Skarsgard), who plays a confrontational tech founder and CEO. In Episode 7, Roman and Lukas struck a deal that would see him land a streaming giant for Waystar who's own platform was an absolute failure.

However, from the promo we saw in Episode 8, it appears that Lukas has effectively dumped on Roman by bumping the price and weighing his options with another potential party. The trailer sees Shiv tell her brother that Lukas may have burned him and that will be one of the talking points.
Titled 'Chiantishire', the official synopsis reads, "At a wedding in Italy, Roman airs suspicions; Gerri draws a line and the Waystar team grows concerned over rogue tweets." To expand, the events take place at Caroline's wedding that will all see the Roys at Tuscany. The botched deal comes to the surface even as Lukas has some flirting to do with Waystar-Royco’s interim CEO.
The relationship between Gerri and Roman seems to be going nowhere and Shiv takes a dig at it when she calls him a COO who can't f***. This might also sting Roman who's desperately trying to sway Gerri who's sent him mixed signals throughout the season, but hasn't had a concrete discussion about their relationship. With two episodes left in the blockbuster series, it remains to be seen what the new episode, written by the show’s creator Jesse Armstrong and directed by Mark Mylod, who has helmed over 10 of the show's episodes, have to offer.
'Succession' Season 3 airs on Sunday nights at 9 pm ET on HBO.
