‘Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse’: Fans blown by 'direct MCU reference' in latest trailer
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse', the first installment of the two-part sequel to the 2018 Academy Award-winning 'Into the Spider-Verse', has now been given an additional trailer that is three minutes long. To preserve every Spider-Man, Spider-Woman, and Spider-Person in the multiverse, Miles Morales and Gwen Stacy will be working on 'Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse'.
The Spider-commander people's Miguel O'Hara, also known as Spider-Man 2099, who has been protecting the multiverse from the inky supervillain The Spot, is introduced to the viewer in the teaser. To safeguard the people he cares about, Miles must redefine what it means to be a hero as he finds himself grappling against the other Spiders.

'Don't get me started on Doctor Strange and that little nerd from Earth-199999'
While some of the movie's fans reacted by mentioning that this is a bold step by the creators, others responded by stating that it's going to be good content and they are here for it. In the trailer, fans have noticed that Miguel O'Hara/Spider-Man 2099 voiced by Oscar Isaac, and who is renowned for having no sense of humor, takes a direct dig at Doctor Strange and Pete Parker.
Fans have also reacted to the reference made to the Marvel Movies with one of them stating, "The No Way Home Reference?" While another explained their thoughts on the trailer by sharing, “My theory for ATSV is that they're going to pull an Empire Strikes Back and have Miles and crew lose against Spot. The Spider-Verse will be in shambles and nobody will be able to get along. To beat Spot in Beyond, they work together, bringing in Tobey, Andrew, & Tom, etc.” Another fan wrote, ‘“And don’t even get me started on Doctor Strange and the little nerd back on Earth-199999!” Did not expect the NWH reference tbh but I’m here for it.”

My theory for ATSV is that they're gonna pull an Empire Strikes Back and have Miles and crew lose against Spot. The Spider-Verse will be in shambles and nobody will be able to get along. In order to beat Spot in Beyond, they work together, bringing in Tobey, Andrew, & Tom, etc.

New dimension driven storyline
Co-writer and producer Christopher Miller previously mentioned to THR, "They opened up an opportunity artistically to have each world have its art style, and to be able to push the folks at ImageWorks to develop a way to have each dimension feel like it was drawn by a different artist’s hand.”
The trailer has surely managed to build hype among the fans as some of them have pointed out that the movie is going to be great. One of them wrote, "Okay this isn’t a 10/10 trailer, it’s a 10000000000/10 trailer!!!! The movie is already looking like a masterpiece!!!!” Another fan under the trailer mentioned, "Also just loves this detail - how this is a sketch incorporated into and becoming part of the overall animation. It's not just the "pencil lines", but see the top right corner and color detail ("Imperial violet, crimson red"). So much to discover."
