CHARLESTON, SOUTH CAROLINA: Season 8 of 'Southern Charm' is not holding back when it comes to the drama and it looks like there is no end in sight (for now). Navigating relationships, be it friendships or romantic ones is the running theme this season and by the looks of it, none of the Charleston residents are sure what their hearts truly want.

While Austen has been seeing Olivia, even the slightest mention of Madison seems to set him off. Olivia called him out on it as their relationship somehow became more about Madison and less about them. Kathryn and Chleb seemed to have reconciled, only for him to stir the pot and talk about Kathryn behind her back to Naomie. And then there is Naomie herself, who insists on hanging out with Craig, even though he's dating. For now, Craig and Paige seem to be the only couple who have the potential to make things work. Well, they and Little Craig and Peaches, are now all set to tie the knot. And if you're wondering, yes, we are talking about Shep's and Patricia's dogs, respectively.

While Patricia geared up for a doggy wedding, Shep spent time with Whitney, so that Peaches and Little Craig could get to know each other better. During their conversation, Shep explained that it came down to the "age-old question of lust versus love." He came clean about why he's afraid of commitment and explained that the divorce rate in his family is extremely low and that he was afraid of being a "failure" at marriage.

He explained that the bar is high and that failing at marriage was not something anyone wanted. He even noted that Taylor Ann had not given him a timeline as of now. So far, Taylor Ann has expressed her concern over their relationship, seeing that the pair did have a pregnancy scare while on the show.

Taylor Ann doubted Shep's ability to step up to the plate as a father, and he went and further cemented those fears by making it plenty clear that having a child was not on his agenda at all. Plus, there was also the added issue of trust, seeing that after Shep came clean about having kissed another woman during the Season 7 reunion, the couple struggled to rebuild their trust.

But that might all be a thing of the past, as the couple has split and decided to move on in real-time.

'Southern Charm' Season 8 airs on Thursdays at 9/8c on Bravo.
