SHINee Minho 'Heartbreak': Release date, concept and all about his solo comeback
After two years of Taemin holding the fort while his older members finished their mandatory military service, it is now their turn. While Shawols (SHINee’s fandom) wait for Taemin to complete his military service, we have Onew, Key, and Minho showering us with music, performances, and variety show content. As Onew, the leader of the group, is booked and busy with a collab, variety show, and a K-drama, Key is a regular on ‘Amazing Saturday’ after dropping his first solo mini-album. And now, it’s Minho’s turn to make his solo comeback.
The rapper of the group immediately got his first acting project after he was discharged from the Marine Corps in 2020. Minho is now expanding his acting career as he was in the popular drama ‘Yumi’s Cells’ and landed the lead role in the Netflix K-drama ‘The Fabulous’. The SHINee star is also the RJ of his very own radio show ‘Best Choice’ on Naver Now since September. And now he’s ready to drop new solo music. His solo debut was in 2019 with the SM Station project ‘I’m Home’. And now he is making his comeback with ‘Heartbreak’ which he announced on his birthday.

SHINee Minho’s single ‘Heartbreak’ will be released on December 21 at 6 pm KST (4 am ET).

Concept
Minho is going all out for his first solo comeback. The SHINee star dropped several concept photos in which he shows off a mature side in desolate landscapes. The teasers tell a story of their own as we first see him get a heartbreaking phone call followed by him drinking alone in a bar. He is then sitting moodily in a dimly-lit apartment. In the latest concept photos, Minho is seen wearing a suit and waiting alone at a phone booth in a quarry. He then looks cheekily at the camera from inside a car before setting it on fire and walking away from the scene.

Fan meeting
On the same day that Minho announced his solo single, he also talked about having a solo hybrid fan meeting. It will be held at Grand Theater, Kwangwoon University in Seoul. This is his first solo fan meeting in two years. Titled ‘Best Choi’s Minho 2021’, the fan meeting will be live-streamed for international fans on Naver VLive’s channel – Beyond LIVE. It will take place a few hours after the release of ‘Heartbreak’ on December 21 at 8 pm KST (6 am ET). Fans can purchase the ticket for the fan meeting from SMTOWN’s Store, Yes24, and Naver VLive. Fanclub members can purchase it at the price of $29 while the standard ticket price is $39.
