'MAFS' fans slam Dom for complaining about Mack (Lifetime)

NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE: 'Married at First Sight' Season 16's newest episode, "Party-ing Ways," continues the social experiment's customs by having the pairs host housewarming parties in their shared areas. But, before the celebrations begin, one couple must make an important choice about the future of their partnership. Mackinley Gilbert and Domynique Kloss drop the D-bomb on their families as well as the rest of the group, leaving everyone perplexed. 'MAFS' viewers, on the other hand, were eager to point fingers at one of the parties because they believe they are the most to blame.

Domynique and Mackinley continue their discussion with Pastor Cal, working through their ongoing problems, or rather avoiding working through them, as she announces she wants a divorce. While the revelation obviously shocks Pastor Cal and upsets Mackinley, she is steadfast in her choice and is urged by the expert to avoid anything significant until she has gone out and experienced more things in life outside a relationship. Mackinley is naturally disappointed that Domynique refuses to attempt to solve their issues, but she does not argue the point. As the scene concludes, Dominique moves her belongings into a box, lending a feeling of closure.

Dom thinks Mack has 'negative energy'

The pairs have only been wedded for two weeks. Dom and Mack have already chosen to divorce, but the other couples are still trying and planning housewarming celebrations.

Dom met with her mother to talk about her choice to leave Mack. When her mother showed interest in meeting Mack, Dom replied, "Well, he started being very petty." Her mother was dissatisfied and asked Dom to allow him more time to work on his negativity.

Dom and Mack disclosed to the group that they are divorcing in a heated discussion. Mack had "negative energy," according to Dom, and she was all about "positive vibes only." Mack objected and said Dom was nitpicking him.

Nicole informed Dom that she would be sorry if she divorced Mack. She then inquired if there was any way they could make it work, to which Dom responded, "maybe." The group accepted it and all clicked their glasses to "maybe."

Dom disclosed to Mack after an awkward discussion with the group that she only said "maybe" due to peer pressure. They agreed to call it quits on their relationship and start packing. Dom had "a lot to learn," Mack admitted in a confessional, and she "played a lot of games."

'Dom’s mom knew she was the problem'

Accusing Dom of wasting someone else's opportunity in finding love, a viewer wrote, "Dom stole a spot from someone that would have seen the process through. With the exception of abuse, participants should fully participate until the end, including living together." Another fan quipped, "Dom saying that she was very patient with Mack is." One fan wondered, "I don’t know if Dom understands the definition of the term “petty” and she just keeps throwing it around." Blaming the experts for the pairing, a fan wrote, "That was the experts fault in pairing Dom & Mackinley. She was far to young."

Fans also noted, "I’m glad Pastor Cal told Dom that she essentially needed to grow up before she gets into another serious relationship. Because that definitely needs to be the move. And Mack. needs to get his priorities straight as well." Some fans also felt, "Dom’s mom knew she was the problem and didn’t want to say it." One fan also called out Pastor Cal as they write, "Pastor Cal telling Dom 25 might’ve been too young for marriage is funny because 1. Her mom wrote in FOR HER and 2. Y’all chose her! She didn’t even want to be here so be serious." While calling her a hypocrite, a fan wrote, "Dom is a real hypocrite, first she says I want a divorce, then she cries & plays the victim for asking for a divorce."

One fan also tweeted, "Dom can’t even stand up to the group and stick to her decision. Bending to the pressure of the group and saying “maybe” she and Mack could work on things was ridiculous. So much growing up to do!!" Putting the entire blame on Dom, a fan wrote, "NO It's Always ONLY been about Dom! As I've said since the start... she was NOT Ready! The fact that her Mom signed her up, it's like Dr. Cal said, "She lied!" She's too young & her relationship immaturity is Poppin'!"
