SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA: Lindy Elloway and Miguel Santiago-Medina of 'Married at First Sight' are separating. For quite some time, there has been conjecture about the pair. She is on social media, but she hasn't addressed Miguel since requesting seclusion and uploading wedding photos. It has now been verified.

Lindy posted a wedding reel on Instagram in November, asking for privacy. "To all the inquisitions, Miguel and I ask that you please respect our privacy as we continue to navigate our marriage," she wrote. "We have shared so much of our relationship and are loving the peace of not filming a TV show. Thank you for understanding, we love you all!"

What happened to Lindy and Miguel on Decision Day on 'MAFS'?

Lindy and Miguel revealed their affection for one other on Season 15 Decision Day. He claimed to be fascinated with her, and that getting to know her had only made him love her more. They appeared to be dedicated to making their marriage succeed. But it just wasn't meant to be.

Why did Lindy and Miguel break up?

Lindy and Miguel, from Season 15 of 'MAFS,' have called it quits. The announcement comes after rumors have been circulating for quite some time. Lindy had gone on many trips, and Miguel was nowhere to be seen. On 'MAFS,' Lindy and Miguel met. They gave it everything they had, but they think they were not meant to be. Lindy took to Instagram to make her declaration public.

"It is with great heartbreak Miguel and I are announcing our divorce," she stated. "Sadly, it’s impossible to stay married if both people are not equally committed to the success of the marriage. Marrying a stranger on national TV has been a very painful, overwhelming & confusing process."

She further stated that neither she nor Miguel regretted marrying at first sight. Despite the fact that it did not work out for them, she says they are both grateful for the chance and experience. Lindy also stated that they had a real relationship.

Lindy closes her address to fans by noting, "It is our hope that viewers understand you see very little of our lives during the short duration of filming. While it is easy to cast judgment and make assumptions, please remember we are just regular people who decided to take a leap of faith. Thank you for going on this insane journey with us, and for respecting our privacy while we continue to heal and grow as individuals."

Lindy and Miguel's divorce announcement follows fan inquiries regarding their relationship. Viewers observed the couple appeared to keep their love story away from social media — and questioned whether separation was taking place off-screen.

Season 16 of 'Married at First Sight' is currently airing Wednesdays at 8 pm ET on Lifetime.
