'MAFS' Season 16: Clint acknowledges his 'crazy comments' on women's bodies, co-stars remain unfazed
JAMAICA, CARIBBEAN: Clint Webb of 'Married at First Sight' made statements that not only offended his wife on their Jamaican honeymoon but everyone around him as well. However, when he attempts to explain himself in the episode airing on Wednesday, February 15, it doesn't go down well with others.
The women of 'MAFS' Season 16 may not all be getting along with their new husbands. They are, however, connecting over the uncommon experience of marrying a complete stranger. And they all agree that one woman's spouse is being a jerk. Clint's admission that he prefers "slender [and] athletic" women did not sit well with the rest of the 'MAFS' cast members, particularly the ladies.

Clint acknowledges he made 'crazy comments' concerning women's bodies
Clint and Gina Micheletti acknowledged on their honeymoon last week that they weren't attracted to one another the moment they met at the altar. Gina admitted to the matchmaking gurus that she didn't generally date redheads while they were alone. Later, while they were with the full 'MAFS' Season 16 cast, Clint revealed that Gina's figure did not conform to his customary standards. "The physical component, typically, the girls that I’ve dated are very athletic, slender. That’s just the mold that I’m attracted to," he said to Gina in front of the other Nashville couples.
"I think in the short period of time that we’ve all been here, I wanted to exude and exonerate, like, I’m front street. I try to be as real as possible," Clint says in a sneak peek for the forthcoming episode.
The bride was not the only one who was offended. Later that night, Clint takes the stage during dinner and addresses the gathering, admitting that he knows he offended many of them with his statements. "Sometimes I say ridiculous, crazy comments, and they’re right off the cuff," he acknowledges in the promotional video.
"You came out swinging, strong and wrong!" Kirsten Grimes burst out laughing.
"Strong and wrong! But let’s focus on the wrong part," he continues. "So I said some comments that were like off the cuff and in the moment, and it wasn’t to disparage anyone. And so, I talked about, like, ‘slender’ and ‘athletic,’ and I don’t think it hit the right way."
Nicole isn't happy with Clint's defense
Domynique Kloss and Nicole Lilienthal both agree that they were insulted. "It was the wrong choice of words," Clint continues. "It was just to, like, trying to give everybody some context of where I’ve been in my past life."
Nicole, on the other hand, is irritated because, although admitting his mistake, he never apologized. "I think it’s disgusting what Clint said," she says in a confessional beside her husband. "Not only did he say it, he didn’t even think to apologize after. He’s a lot, and for me to say that, that should speak volumes in itself."
When 'Married at First Sight' airs on Lifetime on Wednesday, February 15, at 8 PM ET, you can see how everyone else reacts to Clint's statement.
