SF9 is proof that one can excel in anything one puts their mind to. Other than being a successful K-pop group, which is again preparing for its new album ‘Rumination’, SF9 members include idol actors, musical actors, models and variety-show entertainers. In fact, along with Rowoon’s ongoing K-drama ‘The King’s Affection’, he has been cast in the drama ‘Tomorrow’ along with Lee Soo-hyuk. And surprise surprise, Lee Soo-hyuk’s previous drama ‘Doom At Your Service’ also had none other than SF9’s Dawon.

The group’s busy schedule became evident during their participation in the fierce survival show ‘Kingdom’. Due to their individual gigs, SF9 struggled to get together to practice for their performances but still managed to present several iconic stages for ‘Kingdom’ like ‘Believer’ and Taemin’s ‘Move’. And as the show ended, they came back with their album ‘Turn Over’ and the title track ‘Teardrop’. The members then went on to bag lead roles with Jaeyoon in ‘Love In Blackhole’, Inseong in ‘Jack the Ripper’ musical while Zuho is in back-to-back two dramas.

Chani hints at members' enlistment

We also have child actor Chani getting cast in lead roles in the film ‘The Labryinth’ and the drama ‘Miracle’ alongside another SF9 member, Hwiyoung. On the other hand, Dawon landed his first lead role in ‘Part-time Mello’ as a cold-hearted part-timer. He was also set to be on the cover of the Men’s Health Magazine which unfortunately got canceled as he tested positive for Covid-19. Even Taeyang, who modeled for Mac Cosmetics, and SF9’s leader Youngbin are busy as variety show regulars. But as for a group comeback, fans didn’t have much hope since during SF9’s last concert, Chani mentioned that it could probably be the last time they all got together.

SF9 to have one more OT9 comeback

According to South Korean law, all healthy South Korean males before the age of 30 have to enlist for mandatory military service for 1.5 to 2 years. Several third-gen idols like Monsta X’s Shownu and EXO’s Baekhyun have already begun their service. With Inseong and Youngbin being born in 1993, they’re set to enlist in the first half of 2022. According to Chani’s statement, fans expected the group’s future comebacks to be incomplete for the next few years as the 9 members start enlisting. However, much to Fantasys' (their fandom) delight, we just might be getting one last OT9 comeback before the military era begins.

On November 8, SF9 released a poster as they announced their next comeback. They’re set to release their 10th mini-album titled ‘Rumination’. With ‘Trauma’ as the title track, the comeback is set for November 22 at 6 pm KST (5 am ET). They also released a poster of a member with long hair writing the word ‘Trauma’ on a mirror with lipstick. Some wondered if it was Zuho since he has long hair, while others believed that it was Hwiyoung since he is known for having long hairstyles in their previous comebacks. However, Zuho confirmed that it is him on the poster.
