LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: ‘Scream VI’ has won the Best Fight Award for the fight sequence between Courtney Cox (as Gale Weathers) and Ghostface, and social media users believe that ‘Stranger Things’ has been robbed of their chance. As the channel played out a very intriguing Ghostface accepting the award on behalf of both the recipients, fans were left disappointed.

Cox’s fight scene in the movie included a very pumped-up Gale Weathers, a journalist interested in chronicling the activities of Ghostface, going one-on-one with the “psycho” killer in her NYC apartment. As she said in an interview, this time she “got to really fight with Ghostface."

Ghostface famously said in his acceptance speech, “Movies don’t create psychos. Movies make psychos more creative and I’m looking forward to a lot more creativity.” As Cox was not present, he also said that he will make sure that “she gets what she deserves.”

'It was very physical'

Courtney Cox said in an interview with Entertainment Weekly just after the release of the movie that the “very physical” fight scene was actually her “favorite” scene from the movie. "That took a little while," the 'Scream' franchise alum said of the intense sequence before adding, "That was the bulk of my time filming. It was very physical. It was my favorite scene that I've ever had in a Scream movie because I got to really fight with Ghostface."

The directors Tyler Gillett and Matt Bettinelli-Olpin even pushed her to do her own stunts as she said, "Oh God, I did so much," before elaborating about how “proud” she was of herself, "I can't believe that at this point in my life, I was able to do all that stuff. And I think the directors, they're so great...[but] I was like, is this normal, me doing this? I loved it; it was great. I was proud of myself."

'The scream fight just wasn’t on par'

One viewer said in a disappointed tone, "I know the people didn’t vote for this, the scream fight was the worst “fight” in the lineup wtf." They continued, "The fight was shot, obviously choreographed and choppy, andors choreography was well hidden fast paced and thoughtful, same could be said for the bad bunny fight in bullet train, the scream fight just wasn’t on par with those fights in terms of acting…"

One 'Stranger Things' fan quipped, "Over vecna and el!!! Hell no." Another joined in, "Nope should of been @Jamiebower and @Milliestopshate for best fight." The third mourned, "They were robbed."

Before the award was announced, another fan supported 'Stranger Things' by saying, "BEST FIGHT NEXT MILLIE AND JAMIE BETTER GET IT #MTVAwards."

Another was unhappy for robbing 'John Wick' of the award, as the Keanu Reeves stan says, "@JohnWickMovie had #KeanuReeves killing through a whole world of assassins around the globe, and y’all want to award Best Fight for a copycat killer in NYC?? I had to turn it off after that #MTVAwards."
