'RHOBH' Season 13: Viewers call Erika Jayne 'tone deaf' as Bravo Housewife misses her 'safety net' ex Tom Girardi
BEVERLY HILLS, CALIFORNIA: In the February 14 episode of 'The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills', Erika Jayne becomes distraught about continuing her singing career without the support of her former husband, Tom Girardi, and his money. The star opens up about never obtaining closure from her co-stars or Tom, prompting viewers to label her "tone-deaf."
During an emotional conversation with her therapist, Dr Jenn Mann, on Wednesday's all-new episode of 'RHOBH',Erika admits that she will never get the closure she seeks from her divorced husband, Tom. Erika also expresses apprehension about her future Las Vegas residency, no longer having Tom's millions as a safety net.
The 'Pretty Mess' singer also claimed she was offended when the women on 'RHOBH' were "quiet as church mice" when she announced she had won the appeal over her $750k diamond earrings. "[A lot of] good stuff. Like everything that I didn’t think was possible." Erika remarked, "It's happening,"she responded when asked by her therapist how things were going for her.
"It feels like yesterday, you were saying to me, like, my life is over." Erika's therapist responds, "In one fell swoop, you lost your marriage, you lost your financial security, you lost friends," she added, noting that Erika was previously "hopeless" and "afraid" of her future.
Erika agreed, stating, "For quite a while, and now I have this residency in Las Vegas. So it’s good pressure now. And I have a lot of people that I need to make proud." "And who have invested a lot of money in you?" the therapist adds. "You're used to having your husband and unlimited funds and resources. It’s easy to forget that Tom did support you before things go really bad."
Erika revealed that she is terrified of failing her investors and followers, as she is accustomed to having Tom's infinite finances available in case something goes wrong. "I really want to surpass any sort of expectation, but I also am a little afraid to be quite honest with you," Erika says. She goes on to express, "Good or bad, that man encouraged me to be here."
"You can take risks when you have someone in your corner. Tom was the safety net, so I could walk on the high wire," Erika says in her confession. "Now, I no longer have the net. It can get really scary out here. Don’t look down. Just keep going forward."
On X, fans seem to disagree as they write, "Erika, Tom didn’t support you, the victims were supporting you." Another user chimed in, "Yeah Tom “provided” a safety net via victimizing VICTIMS. Erika is so TONE DEATH!"

One user wondered, "Will Erika ever realize Tom supported her with money that was not his but his clients." A fourth user wrote, "Tom supported you till things got bad .. you mean until everyone found out he was embezzling MILLIONS and funding her lifestyle? #RHOBH .. You had unlimited funds … girl the tone deafness of it all."

One user tweeted, ""Good or bad that man encouraged me to be here" yeah because he was using your clown-ass operation to launder his stolen money give me a fucking BREAK with this already." Another sighed, "Erika doesn’t get it. Her husband stole money from real victims that have nothing to support his business and lifestyle. Those earrings represents all the wrong he did, why would anyone want to wear them? I would be embarrassed to wear them."

Erika Jayne disappointed as 'RHOBH' costars remain 'quiet as church mice'
The 'RHOBH' star then shifted the subject to her legal concerns, assuring her therapist, "My legal things are quiet. Not completely wrapped up, but better."
"I won a nice appeal the other day," she continued, as a flashback of her addressing the 'RHOBH' cast about her legal success appeared on the screen.
Erika confessed she was angry that the ladies did not celebrate her victory, and instead were as "quiet as church mice."
"We went on this girl’s trip to Spain, and Sutton was there to release her friend’s ashes, and she asked us what we are releasing and what we are letting go of here. It comes my turn, and, of course, I’m mad. I’m here to let this go in representation of all the hurt that I feel many of you have contributed to," she said, confessing to having "unresolved" emotions.
However, she continued, "I want to release what I have gone through with these women in the past. But at the same time, I think I’ll never get what I’m looking for.
Erika Jayne gets her much-awaited apology from 'RHOBH' costars
The ladies attended Annemarie Wiley's Champagne & Diamonds Brunch, each bringing their own blend of awful music. However, Erika emained fixated on one thing: the apologies she felt the ladies owed her. With all the women together again, Erika seized the opportunity to seek her long-awaited apologies. She was still upset with the group "as a whole" for not supporting her during her difficult times.
Expressing her need for apologies from "certain people in this group," Erika received a helping hand from Sutton Stracke, who offered her own apology by pointing to herself. Erika mentioned that these individuals "did not believe in me," prompting Sutton to raise her hand.
Dorit Kemsley refused to apologize for the "one line" she uttered18 months ago, while Kyle Richards maintained that she never doubted Erika's innocence; her concern was simply Erika's lack of empathy. It's wasn't unexpected for Sutton to offer the first apology, but it was surprising how genuine it was. Even Erika let down her guard and accepted the apology, which was all she truly wanted.
'RHOBH's Erika Girardi meets Tom Girardi’s alleged victims
In 'The Housewife and the Hustler 2: The Reckoning', Erika meets the victims of her estranged husband Tom's alleged fraud. It's an uncomfortable, at times cold, and defensive interaction that serves as the crux of this new documentary, which premiered on Hulu on February 12.
"With Erika meeting with the victims, and with everything happening with Tom Girardi in court related to his competency last year, it felt like the right time to make this documentary," says Jake Lefferman, a producer for ABC News.
In July 2023, Erika met with three of the accused victims: Josie Hernandez, Nancy Marston, and Kathy Ruigomez, the mother of burn sufferer Joseph Ruigomez, whose $11 million payout was allegedly scammed by Tom. The interview followed a year of correspondence between the Bravo star's legal team and Tom's former legal consultant, Kimberly Archie, who now works as an advocate for Tom's claimed victims.
“The meeting occurred because Erika called the victims ‘alleged victims’ on “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” points out Archie.
“The victims were really upset about that. They didn’t want money from Erika. They wanted her to stop talking about things that she actually doesn’t know what she’s talking about, especially when it pertains to them and what’s happened to them because of what Tom and the other lawyers at his firm, Girardi & Keese did.”
'The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' Season 13 finale is to air on February 21 on Bravo at 8 pm ET.
