Red Velvet Seulgi '28 Reasons': Release date, tracklist and about her 'Snow White' solo debut
SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA: Seulgi becomes the next Red Velvet member to make her solo debut and fans are here for it. After 15 years in the K-pop industry, being part of one of the biggest K-pop girl groups and debuting in the sub-unit 'IRENE & SEULGI', she finally has a chance to show her own music style. Fans were impressed as Seulgi gave us a dark and mature 'Snow White' concept for her solo debut album '28 Reasons'.
Seulgi was one of the first SM Rookies to be introduced and while she is the main dancer of Red Velvet, the majority of K-pop fans agree that she is one of the few aces in K-pop as she can sing as well as rap. Well, her solo debut was confirmed in the most hilarious ways as a coffee truck present at her filming site congratulated her on her solo debut before her label had officially announced it. And while fans wait for '28 Reasons', we are getting several teasers that have everyone excited.

The title track '28 Reasons' is a dance-pop song with heavy bass and whistling sounds as Seulgi sings about good and evil and how it affects love. 'Dead Man Running' is an R&B song with dance-pop elements like energetic drums and synth sounds. It is also the first time that Seulgi has written the lyrics for a song. 'Bad Boy, Sad Girl' is a refreshing and laidback love song with R&B elements and a piano melody.
Concept
We got two concepts for Seulgi's solo debut. In the first one titled 'sNOWWHITE', she wears a white pinned dress and long braids while she stares distantly. With a gothic atmosphere, it creates a mysterious aura of a dark fairytale. The second concept is called 'gRIMHILDE' after the Evil Queen's name in the fairytale 'Snow White'. Seulgi channels her inner evil queen as she wears all black and stares through a cracked mirror. She is then spotted through a clear mirror that is surrounded by apples.
Music video teasers
We got an album trailer and mood sampler. In the album trailer, haunting and eerie whistling sounds are heard as Seulgi cuts her nail by the swimming pool in the dark. The pace of the music increases as the Red Velvet star is surrounded by some school girls who stare at her before she shoots someone and leaves behind an exploding car while she looks shaken.
The mood sampler continues from the album trailer as we now see Seulgi in an empty field. As she is lost in a forest and tries to get back home, the scenes cut to Seulgi as the Evil Queen who lounges in her palace.
