Was Seulgi's solo debut leaked by a coffee truck? Red Velvet fans say 'long overdue'
SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA: After 15 years in the K-pop industry and 8 years as part of the girl group Red Velvet, Seulgi will finally be making her solo debut. She joined SM Entertainment in 2007 and was one of the first trainees to be introduced through SM Rookies and the first one to be revealed as a Red Velvet member along with Irene. While she is the main dancer of the group, the majority of fans agree that she is one of the aces of K-pop as she can also sing and rap.
Seulgi is one of the few K-pop idols to also have debuted a number of times in several groups like Girls Next Door, SM Station X Girl Group, Red Velvet - Irene & Seulgi and several special subunits. She has also collaborated with numerous idols that too from different companies like Mamamoo's Moonbyul, Zion.T and GOT7's Bambam. And now, the Red Velvet star will get to shine as a soloist in October with her debut album which was actually leaked by a coffee truck.

Red Velvet's Seulgi to make solo debut
Seulgi is the third Red Velvet member to go solo following Wendy and Joy. She did get solo projects in the past like the K-drama OST for 'The Crowned Clown' back in 2019. She is also part of the Red Velvet subunit Irene & Seulgi and had released the viral hit 'Monster' that had taken over K-pop in 2020. With SM Entertainment being in the news lately for allegedly mistreating Red Velvet and putting them frequently on hiatus, fans were happy that it was a support coffee truck that unearthed Seulgi's solo debut which then was later confirmed by the label.
