Pentagon’s Shinwon, Wooseok, Yuto ‘slay’ Seoul Fashion Week’s runway for Ulkin F/W 22

K-pop idols like Astro's Eunwoo and SF9's Rowoon have walked for Seoul Fashion Week in the past

With K-pop influencing practically every other industry from food and sports to fashion and film, it is no surprise that idols are being roped in for all kinds of gigs. With the K-pop industry constantly influencing fashion trends and consumer behavior, we are now getting idols themselves walking the runway for Seoul and Milan Fashion Week. We have had idols like Astro’s Eunwoo, BTS, Blackpink’s Lisa, Kard’s BM, Monsta X’s Hyungwon, SF9’s Rowoon and Seventeen’s Mingyu making their runway debut. And now Pentagon members have also been added to this list.

In fact, EXO’s Kai had been chosen as the global ambassador for Seoul Fashion Week S/S 2022. Well, for the latest edition of South Korea’s very own fashion week, we have members of the boy group Pentagon turning heads with their catwalk. Luxury brand Ulkin (stylized as ul:kin) brought in Pentagon’s Shinwon, Wooseok and Yuto to walk for their latest fashion show at Seoul Fashion Week F/W 2022 in the collection titled ‘Programmed Society’.

Shinwon, Wooseok and Yuto walk for Seoul Fashion Week

While this is Yuto’s debut fashion show, both Shinwon and Wooseok are no strangers to the runway. Both have modeled at Seoul Fashion Week in the past for brands like Blanc de Noirs and R.Shemiste in 2018 and 2019 along with Pentagon’s Yanan. In fact, Shinwon has been part of five Fashion Week shows while he and Wooseok had also previously modeled for Ulkin in 2021. It should be noted that Shinwon is the shortest of the four as he stands at 1.84 metres while Wooseok is one of the tallest idols in K-pop as he is 1.91 metres tall.

‘Melting over visuals’

And with their slim and long proportions, fans found Shinwon, Wooseok and Yuto perfect for modeling Ulkin’s futuristic outfits for F/W 2022. One happy Universe tweeted, “WE ARE GONNA GET RUNWAY MODEL YUTO SHINWON AND WOOSEOK OH MY GOD.” Another fan posted, “Y'all im not ready for shinwon, yuto, and wooseok's photos to drop on seoul fashion week i would be on the floor melting over visuals.”

One commented, “Wooseok 5 day drought ended with a slay unmatched.” Another Universe shared, “So kids, this is how Runway Model Yuto was born.” One fan added, “Just thinking how this will be shinwon's 5th time on the seoul fashion week runway, he has really made modeling his own thing and the fact that he always wanted to be a model just makes it so much better because now he is practically an official runway model.”
