'Pennyworth' fans wait with bated breath each Thursday to see Alfie on a new mission with Daveboy. Although the series was released back in 2019 on Epix and now has moved to HBO Max, fans still feel that the 'gem show' is 'underrated.' It is partially true that the series is not in the same league as one of the hyped series of the DC universe. Although it is the first series to portray the life of Batman's butler, Alfred Pennyworth, in his early days.

The recent episode has left fans wanting more as they feel 5 episodes are just not enough. The ten episodes-per-season series still has five more to go as the previous seasons did. Jack Bannon is seen portraying the role of Alfie Pennyworth in the series. The series was developed for television and is executive produced by Bruno Heller and Danny Cannon. The fifth episode of the series focuses on various small storylines than just one (which usually happens), and our beloved Alfie is seen taking a new role of being a spy.

Although Alfie already has a love interest, a plot twist named Zahra enters in this episode, whom Alfie kisses after saving her twice in one day. However, that is not all. Thomas Wayne is seen flying off to Gotham without informing Martha and after having continuous nightmares. On the other hand, Bet is seen to be desperately looking for Jon Salt, until she finds him and gets knocked out by her guards.

It is safe to say a lot happened in the fifth episode. Fans went to Twitter to share a penny for their thoughts. A fan said, "The fact that #Pennyworth isn't being talked about more is a disgrace. Great show." A fan mentioned, "Watching #Pennyworth is worth every penny. How did I never knew about this bloody brilliant show before! Another gem from #DC universe after #DoomPatrol."
