'1923' on Paramount+: Date, plot, cast and latest buzz around the 'Yellowstone' prequel
It hasn't been long since Paramount announced that 'Yellowstone' had been renewed for a fifth season. Season 4 of the series ended on such a high note that fans were left craving for what the future holds. Created by Taylor Sheridan and John Linson, 'Yellowstone' follows the Dutton family and the challenges they face as owners of the largest ranch in all of America.
Though 'Yellowstone' had engaging storylines and was filled with interesting characters, not much was revealed about the history of the Duttons and how they moved to Montana and set up the ranch. As an answer to such queries, Taylor Sheridan created '1883.' The period drama is about an earlier generation of the Dutton family and follows them as they flee poverty, moving from Fort Worth in Texas to Montana, eventually setting up the establishment that would be called the Yellowstone Ranch. Starring Sam Elliott, Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, and Isabel May among others, '1883' received favorable reviews and also happens to be the most-watched original series premiere on Paramount+.
