LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Set in a near-future world where human cloning is just evolving, AMC's 'Orphan Black: Echoes' takes you on an adventure as a clone seeks to uncover the truth about her origins.
In the last episode of the show, Lucy (Krysten Ritter) discovers the whereabouts of Jules Lee (Amanda Fix) from Neva (Alex Castillo) and convinces Dr. Kira Manning (Keeley Hawes) to bring down Paul Darros (James Hiroyuki Liao).
However, there is a surprising act of betrayal when Emily (Tattiawna Jones) points her pistol at Kira and demands information on printing technology.
What happened in 'Orphan Black: Echoes' Episode 8?
The most recent episode of the series is packed with action, enigma, and drama, as Emily holds Kira captive and insists that she arrange a meeting with Lucy. Kira attempts to steal Emily's gun, resulting in a gunshot, although it is unclear who was struck.
Meanwhile, Lucy, Jules, and Dr. Eleanor Miller (Rya Kihlstedt) talk about a mystery item taken from Darros's office.
Lucy and Craig (Jonathan Whittaker), on the other hand, locate PJ (Dayle McLeod), who recognizes the stolen gadget as a security token but attempts to access it resulting in a security alert.
Later, Kira finds that the FDA has searched her lab, which was most likely a trap set by Darros. It was eventually discovered that Kira had not shot Emily, but rather feigned that Kira had murdered Emily.
The episode concludes with a confrontation when a shootout breaks out, catching Craig in the crossfire.
What to expect in 'Orphan Black: Echoes' Episode 9?
Tensions will probably rise in the next episode as the effects of the gunfire will become more apparent.
Craig's destiny will be discovered, leaving Lucy, Jules, and Eleanor scurrying to either rescue him or cope with the fallout.
Kira, having learned of the FDA raid, may take extraordinary measures to protect her study and family. She may confront Darros, resulting in a potentially violent confrontation, or she could go underground to continue her job in secrecy.
The group will most certainly encounter fresh challenges, whether from Darros's or another organization, resulting in an even more violent fight in future episodes.
