Just days after NCT Dream fans were lamenting group schedules with only five members, SM decided to make it up by announcing their second solo concert ‘The Dream Show 2: In A Dream’ at Gocheok Sky Dome in July. Fans were over the moon as this is the first time that all seven members of NCT Dream will be performing together at their own solo concert. After Super Junior’s failed rotational concept, SM had tried to create a similar trend with NCT Dream where members would ‘graduate’ and move on with Mark leaving the group in 2018. But after much uproar, he was added back to the group in 2020.

Unfortunately, this meant that when Mark was not in the group, NCT Dream had their first solo concert ‘The Dream Show’ in 2019. And with fans and NCT Dream themselves preferring a seven-member group to the extent of calling themselves ‘7Dream’, NCTzens were disheartened when we once again got only five members for KPop.Flex, the biggest K-pop festival in Europe, and KCON LA 2022. With members Mark and Haechan also being part of a second group NCT 127, fans feel like SM prioritizes NCT 127 when it comes to group activities. Apart from comeback promotions, NCT Dream has most often gone on to attend external schedules with just five members.

NCT Dream to have first solo concert as a 7-member group

But after the uproar that NCT Dream fans created following the KCON LA 2022 lineup announcement, it looks like SM is trying them now. We will get 7Dream for ‘The Dream Show 2’ concert at Sky Dome which also happens to be the group’s first solo concert in South Korea in the last three years. It is a three-day concert on July 29 at 7 pm KST (6 am ET), July 30 and 31 at 6 pm KST (5 am ET), with the last day being live-streamed for international fans on Beyond LIVE. Fans are excited as the Gocheok Sky Dome is the first domed stadium in South Korea with a seating capacity of 16.7K. The presale of tickets begins on June 29, followed by general ticket sales on July 1, 2022.

‘7Dream feels like home’

Fans are excited and are trending 7Dream as this will be their first full group concert despite debuting in 2016. One NCTzen tweeted, “A 3 day concert for nct dream in gocheok sky dome, the stadium with the largest capacity in south korea 😭 dreamies you deserve this so much.” Another fan was happy, “We will see them in concert as a 7DREAM.”

One NCTzen made a reaction meme, “NCT DREAM CONCERT IN SEOUL BE LIKE.” Another said, “Remember when mark said ‘he haven’t had a nct dream concert yet’, and now they're finally going to perform in the gocheok sky dome as 7dream.”

One fan asked, “So how do i wipe 2018 markhyuck's tears and tell them that they'd be performing together once again in an nct dream concert?” Another fan added, “7DREAM feels more like home.”
