NCT 127 Doyoung ignoring Seventeen Hoshi has fans amused over the 96-liner friendship

Seungkwan reveals that Hoshi ended up canceling on Doyoung on the day they were supposed to hang out

Just days after we got VIXX’s Ravi and EXO’s Kai bantering on Instagram, another iconic idol friendship has K-pop Twitter in giggles. Idols born in the same year tend to gravitate towards each other as evident from the famous 97-liner group that includes idols born in 1997 like BTS’ Jungkook, Seventeen’s Mingyu, Astro’s Eunwoo and more. We also have the hilarious Thai group consisting of Thai-born idols like Blackpink’s Lisa, GOT7’s Bambam, NCT’s Ten, (G)I-DLE’s Minnie and the like. And now, thanks to Seventeen’s latest ‘Going Seventeen’ episode, many new fans found about the 96-liners group that includes Hoshi and NCT 127’s Doyoung.

While both Doyoung and Hoshi’s MBTI type is introvert, the former being calm and quiet while the latter is loud and hyper had everyone amused at this unlikely friendship. And with Seventeen's Seungkwan exposing Hoshi’s friendship with the NCT 127 star even further, fans could already guess how chaotic their relationship must be. During the ‘Going Seventeen’ episode, Hoshi started talking about how he sometimes had to cancel plans with his friends on the day itself. And Seungkwan revealed one such incident with Doyoung.

Seungkwan tells Hoshi to call Doyoung

To spice things up, Seungkwan decided to call Doyoung, ”Let’s get him on the phone right now.” While Hoshi look flustered, Seungkwan kept adding, “Yes, we’re going to call him.” Hoshi wondered if Doyoung would pick up but Seungkwan kept insisting, “Just try it! Tell him we are on ‘Going Seventeen’.” Hoshi also asked Seungkwan to help him explain and pacify Doyoung as to why he had to cancel on him. However, with Doyoung not picking up the call, Seungkwan commented, “Seeing as he’s not picking up his phone, he’s cut off his friendship with you. Congratulations.”

While the remaining Seventeen members laughed and clapped, Hoshi tried to clarify, “But I never placed the fault on Doyoung. It was my fault.” Like viewers, Seungkwan couldn’t understand why Hoshi would blame Doyoung when he canceled the plan on D-Day, “Of course, it was your fault!" The episode went on to get even more exciting as Seungkwan also ended up exposing his friendship with fellow 98-liner Moonbin of Astro and how he sent a 15-page chat when Moonbin was 2 hours late.

‘Seungkwan needs to bring Hoshi so he doesn't cancel plans’

Fans loved the hilarious interaction and made tweets like, “SEUNGKWAN DRAGGING MOONBIN RIGHT AFTER HOSHI DRAGGED DOYOUNG BOYS THEYRE NOT EVEN THERE TO DEFEND THEMSELVES HHDJSJDJ.” Another joked, “Hoshi exposing seungkwan accidentally vs. seungkwan exposing hoshi('s friend doyoung) on purpose.” One added, “Remember when OP met Seungkwan, NCT Jungwoo and NCT Doyoung at a cafe, it seems they often hang out together maybe next time Seungkwan needs to bring Hoshi and make sure he doesn't cancel their plans and we'll get 98 & 96 line moments.”

Another said, “Okay but can you imagine how funny it would be if we got seungkwan jungwoo hoshi and doyoung in one room? I need this to happen...@ producers in korea make it happen.” One commented, “Hoshi cancelling plans last minute and doyoung not picking up his call vs moonbin accidentally sleeping through his meet up with seungkwan and receiving a 15 page vent over text.”
