NCT's Doyoung sings OST track 'Like a Star' for K-drama 'Yumi's Cells'
After making a power-packed comeback with their third Korean mini-album, 'Sticker' NCT 127 has broken many records. The album became an overnight success after selling more than 2 million copies as soon as it was announced, 'Sticker' has also become the Number 1 best-selling album on Billboard 200 Albums charts making it NCT 127's first album to do so well.
After a successful comeback and after winning many titles at various music shows for 'Sticker', NCT 127's Doyoung will also participate in the K-drama, 'Yumi's Cells' as he is said to have lent his voice for the OST for one of its episodes. The K-drama 'Yumi's Cells' revolves around the story of a young girl, Yumi played by South Korean actress, Kim Goeun who is an ordinary office worker.

About 'Yumi's Cells'
The story has two different settings, one of Yumi's real life and the other which is inside her mind where her 'cells' are present. Each of her cells represents different emotions and drives that Yumi feels. Her love cells are in a state of coma after a failed relationship. The K-drama sees many male actors appear in order to help wake Yumi's "love cells".
Actor Ahn Bohyun plays the male lead, Gu Woong, a game developer that is struck by Yumi. The show also saw a cameo appearance from SHINee's Choi Minho who plays the role of Woogi, the boy Yumi works with and is attracted to. After SHINee's Minho, SM Entertainment's other boy group will see another one of their idols participate in the K-drama.
NCT's Doyoung to sing for OST track
Stone Music Entertainment, which produces 'Yumi's Cells' made an official announcement on September 30 that NCT's Doyuong has been confirmed as the singer of 'Yumi's Cells' OST Part 4. The background score that played during the fourth episode of the tvN drama is titled 'Like a Star' and will be sung by Doyoung. The song was aired during the episode that was released on September 25 and will officially be released on October 1 at 6 pm KST (5 am ET) on major domestic music sites.

The song, 'Like a Star' was first teased on the show in a scene where the characters of Yumi and Goo Woong met for the first time in Episode 2 of 'Yumi's Cells'. The song got a lot of fans curious, asking for it to be released officially. It is a pop ballad number that was used as background music for each decisive moment between Yumi and Gu Woong that added to viewers' thrill and excitement regarding the drama and made a lasting impression on fans.
