When is 'MBFFL' Season 10, Episode 4 airing?
Season 10 of 'My Big Fat Fabulous Life' premiered on TLC on August 9. The episodes air at 10 pm ET and are available to view on Discovery+ the following day. The fourth episode of the current season is slated to air on August 30 at 10 pm ET.
When Babs is released from the hospital, Whitney, Glenn, and Hunter hustle to find her a place to live, according to the official episode synopsis. Also, as the wedding approaches, tensions between Jessica and her fiancé rise. The preview clip, which TLC posted on Twitter and will show on the August 30 episode of 'MBFFL,' begins with Glenn, the family patriarch, addressing Babs' recovery from her significant health crisis.
Babs, Whitney's mother on the TLC series, suffered a second stroke early this year after recovering from her first in 2017, leaving the family and viewers anxious about the adored figure. When the show returned to the air in early August for Season 10, it was revealed that Babs was on the mend and was even due to be discharged from the hospital and transferred to an in-patient rehab center. However, in the forthcoming episode of 'MBFFL,' Babs' husband Glenn confesses that things have slowed down considerably as the family struggles to find Babs' future residence.
In a confessional, he says: "Whitney has taken the lead on finding [an] assisted living community. The person that she's dealing with, Shannon, asked me to come over and go and really take a look at all it has to offer." Glenn says to his kids, Hunter and Whitney, in a kitchen, "I told [Shannon] to go ahead and actually start saving the room, the apartment, but I wanted to talk to you guys first to make sure you're in agreement." Whitney and Hunter confirm this, and Whitney announces, "I say we call them right now," but as Glenn pulls out his phone to make the call, he notices he has a message from Shannon.
Whitney checks the texts and shares the devastating news that the apartment has already been taken. Shannon did add that another one may become available, but they won't know until "maybe tomorrow, maybe in the next few days." A frustrated Glenn says: "This is what I was afraid of all along, that we're down to the 11th hour and doing a scramble round. I don't know what we're going to do."
Whitney then admits in a confessional how hard it has been trying to find a place for her mother to live. "It's been really difficult finding a place for my mom, a lot of places don't have vacancies, and they don't know when they're going to have vacancies," she adds.
"Most communities don't let you reserve a room until a couple of days before the patient is discharged." Whitney continues, saying: "So now we have this perfect place. But we have this little window, and someone gets it before we do." Whitney confesses to Glenn and Hunter that this specific assisted living complex was the only one they could discover that was suited for Babs. "Not only is there nothing as good, we don't even have the option of [anywhere else]," she says. "We don't have another option."
Whitney's brother Hunter expresses his disappointment in a confessional, telling the cameras, "It feels like, if this doesn't work out, then there's nothing else we can do for her. You know what I mean? We're going to put her in a place that has less than glowing reviews?" "I mean, if you want me to get real about it, like f**k, this s*** really p***** me off. It p***** me off. That this is the only place that's perfect for her. It feels like this is a life-or-death situation. That's what it feels like."
Will the Thores be able to place Babs in an assisted living facility? Will they have to continue looking?
