'Mama June: Family Crisis' star June Shannon called out for promoting 'terrible' diet food amid weight loss journey
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'Mama June: Family Crisis' star June Shannon continued to lose weight and promised her followers that she would document her journey on social media. However, a recent video she posted promoting a diet plan has stirred up some controversy.
In the video, June held a box of diet food featuring different flavors of Oats Overnight. Alongside the video, the WETV show star noted, "Well, this is something new that I wanted to try to implement as a healthcare choice for me during my weight loss."
She added, "I have never done any overnight oats, even though I have seen them all over my for you page." She added, "I loved the first day looking forward to trying all the other flavors and being able to pick my flavors and swap my favorites of every month, I would highly recommend them as they have 10 to 20 g of protein in each a great way to get your protein in."
One fan took to social media and wrote, "Of course you’d say chick f la! Stop going out to eat and cook healthy, stop sugar! Stop processed foods and eat Whole Foods only! You will save a ton of money that you can pay Alana back with! Stop buying stuff! Do it the right way! You used your kids for your own satisfaction and money!" Another person stated, "The carbs and sugar in those are terribly high."

Mama June defends using weight loss injection
Mama June Shannon recently gave a three-week progress report on her weight loss journey with Semaglutide injections on Instagram. She shared a video and noted, "I have lost another 2.2 pounds for a total of 7.4 pounds total, so far I’m proud of myself for the changes I have made, a few here [are] on the same journeys."
However, social media users called out June for using weight loss drugs for quick results. June decided not to tolerate the trolls this time and responded to the critics in the comment section. June claimed, "I definitely do not do Little Debbie snacks at all anymore. I haven’t had anything fried and going on three weeks."
She added, "It just suppresses your appetite, but it is not a quick fix. It is a slow process that is not going to happen overnight." She further noted that 'a lot of bariatric patients' go on 'weight loss shots years later.'
Mama June accused of using Honey Boo Boo's money for weight loss
In addition to her costly diet foods and weight loss injections, Mama June Shannon has pursued a rapid weight loss method. Beginning her journey at 550 pounds, she underwent weight loss surgery in 2015 when she reached 311 pounds. Undeterred, the WeTV personality persisted in her weight loss efforts and eventually reached an impressive 195 pounds.
Following her daughter Anna Cardwell's death, the reality star experienced a slight weight gain, prompting her to take proactive measures to shed those pounds. However, recent accusations have surfaced, suggesting that she's been using her daughter Honey Boo Boo's money to purchase expensive diet foods.
June has been receiving backlash since the debut on 'Mama June: Family Crisis' Season 7. In the episode, it was revealed that June spent Honey Boo Boo's Coogan account money which she could have used to pay for college.

June shared that her life is a rollercoaster. Reflecting on Anna Cardwell's challenges, she acknowledged that her journey is filled with emotional ups and downs. June also revealed that fans would get to see Anna's wishes play out on camera but it has seemed that she wants nothing to do with her mortality.

Mama June's husband Justin Stroud was spotted in the background of the WETV show star's latest video seemingly engaged in cleaning tasks. He was also smiling after June claimed that she had been focusing on a healthy diet for her weight loss.
