'Making the Cut': Who is Andrea Pitter? Meet the Season 2 winner who launched a co-brand with Amazon Fashion

Fashion is the name of the game when it comes to designers all set to take on Season 3 of 'Making the Cut'. With a million-dollar investment on the line, 10 established designers are all set to put their reputation at stake and let their designs do the talking!

As per the synopsis of the series -- "In the third season of Making the Cut, Heidi Klum and Tim Gunn welcome 10 established designers from around the world to Los Angeles, CA where they compete to become the next global fashion brand. Each week, winning looks and companion pieces will be available to buy on Amazon in the Making the Cut store, and the last designer standing will receive one million dollars to invest in their brand." Who won Season 2 of 'Making the Cut'?

Andrea Pitter, a New York-based designer was the winner of Season 2 of 'Making the Cut'. Pitter grew up in Crown Heights neighbourhood, Brooklyn. Her parents are Jamaican immigrants. She studied at the High School of Fashion Industries and graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology. In 2009, she launched her brand, Pantora Bridal, which focuses on bridal wear for Black women. 



 

Where is Andrea Pitter now?

After hosting her ROW DTLA storefront which was a part of her win, Pitter also went on to extend a ready-to-wear line for her brand, Pantora. She recently launched her co-brand with Amazon Fashion, known as TEREA by Andrea Pitter. The brand is size-inclusive and affordable and consists of day-to-night wear in a range of desert-inspired hues. Pieces are currently priced between $48 to $100, with sizes available from XXS to 5X. The brand aims at giving its customers "confidence, no matter the time or place."

In a conversation with Hollywood Reporter, Pitter explained how she was looking forward to the launch. “I’m so excited to unveil my co-brand with Amazon Fashion,” she stated “Designing Terea was very special to me because for the first time, I was able to expand my designs to include timeless everyday styles at accessible price points, with sizes ranging up to 5X, that will make an impact on customers’ wardrobes — I think of the co-brand as Pantora’s ‘vibey’ little sister.” she added. 



 



'Making the Cut' Season 3 airs on Prime Video on August 19, 2022. Two episodes will be aired each week, with the season finale airing on September 9, 2022.
