'Love is Blind' Season 2: Deepti dumps Shake at the altar, fans call it their 'favorite moment'

Finally, on the day of their wedding, Deepti shocked everyone when she said no to marrying Shake at the altar

It was a cathartic moment of sorts not just for Deepti Vempati but also 'Love is Blind' fans when she decided not to marry Abhishek 'Shake' Chatterjee at the altar on the day of their wedding. The Netflix blind dating show featured Shake and Deepti starting off on the wrong foot after the 33-year-old veterinarian/ DJ tried to gauge how Deepti looked by asking her intrusive questions about her weight and physical looks instead of getting to know her as a person.

When Deepti called him out for it, Shake apologized and began developing feelings for her. Luckily for him, the 30-year-old Information Analyst too began to catch feelings for him. So, when Shake proposed to her, Deepti wasted no time in agreeing. After they got engaged, Shake finally got to see Deepti for the first time and he was blown away by how beautiful she looked. Shake immediately declared that he couldn't wait to marry her and have babies with her. Sadly, that attraction didn't last for too long as it fizzled out almost immediately after their first meeting.

While Deepti continued to fall in love with him as she spent more time with him, Shake, on the other hand, began feeling physically unattracted to her. He complained to everybody within his hearing range about how he was having intimacy issues with Deepti and even went to the extent of comparing her to his aunt. Just days before their wedding, Shake finally decided to come clean and told to Deepti that he wasn't feeling that physical attraction and connection with her but tried reassuring her by saying he might develop it in the future once they got married. Deepti played it cool and didn't say anything to him.

Finally, on the day of their wedding, she shocked everyone when she said no to marrying him at the altar. She explained how he never made her feel like he loved her or that she was the one. She walked away from him saying that she was choosing herself and declared that he didn't deserve her. Shake remained unfazed by her decision, and he consoled himself by stating that Deepti would have said yes to him if he had said yes, and even felt relieved that at least he didn't have to be the one to reject her. Fans lauded Deepti's decision not to marry Shake.

While walking away from Shake, Deepti declared that he would regret losing her. Fans couldn't agree more with her and felt that Shake made a huge mistake by letting go off the beautiful bond he shared with her.
