Like it or not, when it comes to reality dating shows, it all boils down to how the participants look. But for those who decide to be a part of the social experiment in 'Love Is Blind', the focus is entirely on building a strong connection without knowing what your potential partner looks like. And while it sounds like it could certainly work, some couples seem to have hit a few blocks.

Looking for other Netflix reality shows? You might want to consider -- 'Insiders' and 'The Circle'.

For Abhishek "Shake" Chatterjee, this whole process has been hard to grasp. Shake has always dated blonde and conventionally attractive women to make up for the fact that he was on the heavier side while growing up. Even with Deepti, he tried to find out her weight, by coyly asking he could carry her on his shoulders at a music festival. After the pair finally met, it seems that Shake is struggling now more than ever, claiming that he is not attracted to Deepti. However, the voice of reason among this all seems to be his mother, who called Shake out on not giving Deepti the same love and commitment that she was giving him. Fans were thrilled to see that she took Deepti's side entirely and told called her own son out for stringing her along.

"How did Shake go from grabbing Deepti’s ass nonstop when they first met to now claiming there’s no physical attraction?! I just hate the fake drama #LoveIsBlind" noted a fan. "I love what Abhishek “Shake”s mother said after he said he wasn’t physically attracted to her, “She can find someone who loves her the way she is, she doesn’t deserve someone who gives her even half a percent less” YES MOM!  #LoveIsBlind" tweeted a fan. "Shake’s mom checking him YES a desi queen love her deepti is way too good for him #loveisblind" added another. "Even Shake's mom knows Deeps deserves man who will worship her #LoveIsBlind" added a fan. "“I’m very much identifying with her more than you…she doesn’t deserve someone who gives her even half a percent less.” SHAKE’S MOM WE LOVE YOUUUU WE CHERISH YOUUU YOU ARE SO REAL #loveisblind" quoted a fan. "Shake's mom going idgaf that you're my son, have some sense and do the right thing by Deepti and I love and respect that so much. Deepti and Abhishek have the BEST parents #loveisblind2 #LoveIsBlindS2 #loveisblind" said a fan.
