'Love is Blind' Season 2: Will Jarrette leave Iyanna for Mallory? Fans say it's 'disrespectful'

Can you fall in love without ever seeing a person? As it turns out, one can not only fall in love but also have a full-blown love triangle situation without ever laying eyes on each other. This was exactly the situation between Iyanna McNeely, Jarrette Jones, and Mallory Zapata on 'Love is Blind' Season 2.

Ever since the pods opened up, Jarrette was drawn to both Iyanna and Mallory. Iyanna, a 27-year-old program coordinator, who prides herself in being goofy, opened up to Jarrette about all the struggles and hardships she faced in life- from being abandoned by her family to being a sexual assault survivor. Jarrette was moved and touched by her strength. On the other hand, he liked that Mallory and he were very identical in terms of their career goals and what they wanted in life. So, Jarette was left feeling torn between the two ladies.

He finally decided to test the waters with Mallory and asked her how she would feel if he were to propose to her. Mallory immediately shot him down by declaring that she had a stronger connection with someone else (Salvador Perez) and that she wanted to pursue it. While Jarrette was heartbroken over being rejected, Mallory was upset about turning him down and hurting him. However, both of them moved on. Salvador proposed to Mallory, while Jarrette proposed to Iyanna.

Iyanna was initially hurt because she felt like she was Jarrette's second choice but eventually decided to give their relationship a shot as she genuinely liked him. Things were going smoothly between the duo until they landed in Mexico for the couples retreat. Jarrette finally saw Mallory for the first time there and he was once again drawn to her. He approached Mallory and began questioning if she was happy with Salvador. Mallory played it coy by saying she wasn't determined to marry Salvador by the end of the experience. Jarrette took this as his window of opportunity to try his luck with her again by pointing out how Salvador and she might not be the best fit for each other considering he didn't even get the kind of engagement ring she wanted. Mallory once shared with Jarrette that she wanted a gold engagement ring, but Salvador got her a silver one. He then added that he would have gotten Mallory exactly the kind of ring she wanted.

Mallory and Jarrette just continued to discuss her relationship, while both Iyanna and Salvador watched from the sidelines uncomfortably. After watching the exchange between Jarrette and Mallory, fans sensed that he was still in love with her and began slamming him for stringing along Iyanna.
