SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA: Blackpink’s Lisa continues to be an all-rounder as along with her group's comeback being one of the most anticipated ones of the year, she is also branching out as a soloist, model, and brand ambassador. Thanks to Lisa’s iconic 2021 solo debut, she ended up crossing 500 million streams on Spotify making her the first female K-pop idol to do so. On the other hand, Blackpink’s ‘Pink Venom’ broke several records as well. And now, Lisa has become the first Asian artist to be on the cover of the American outlet V Magazine.

After almost a 2-year hiatus, Blackpink is finally making a comeback with their second studio album ‘Born Pink’. But to make up for lost time, the girls dropped the pre-release single ‘Pink Venom’ which felt like a comeback in itself. It ended up garnering over 90.4 million YouTube views making it the highest for a female act on YouTube in the first 24 hours. The single also crossed 10.7 million unfiltered Spotify streams in the first 24 hours making it the first Korean song to do so. Lisa the first Asian and K-pop star to be on V Magazine cover

On August 22, the Blackpink star dropped teasers of her V Magazine cover. #LisaXCeline started trending immediately as the brand ambassador collaborated with Celine by donning a sleek black dress for her first V cover. As ambassador for the luxury brand Bvlgari, she was seen sporting their jewelry for the cover. While V Magazine is an American magazine, it has a large following in Asia as well which has led to critics and fashion influencers hailing Lisa as its first Asian and K-pop cover star. This is a great achievement as the magazine prints only six issues a year.

The Thai-born K-pop idol will be on the cover of their fall 2022 issue being released in September. Lisa’s modeling career has also taken off with the V Magazine cover being another feather in her cap. In the past few years, she has also been on the covers of ELLE, Marie Claire and five different editions of Vogue while being loyal and collaborating only with Celine and Bvlgari. V Magazine is known for putting only global stars such as Madonna, Beyonce, Rihanna and Lady Gaga with the magazine's staff flying to South Korea to shoot with the Blackpink star.
