With Blackpink’s much-awaited comeback right around the corner, the girls are busier than ever. Fans had first spotted Lisa and Jisoo at the YG building in May, strengthening rumors that the girls would be returning after their 18-month hiatus. Along with their confirmed August release, Blackpink is also set to have a virtual concert and release new music in collaboration with the mobile video game PUBG. And now, we have Lisa gracing the cover of Marie Claire China for August.

Lisa has been busy as the global ambassador of luxury brands like Bvlgari and Celine. She was first seen hanging out with Hollywood starlet Anne Hathway and Bollywood superstar Priyanka Chopra at Bvlgari’s ‘Eden’ launch in Paris in early June. The Blackpink star was then joined by BTS’ V and actor Park Bogum at Paris Men’s Fashion Week where they sat front row for Celine’s S/S 2023 collection. Lisa continues her fashion career as she teamed up with Celine again for the cover of Marie Claire China.

Lisa graces the magazine cover

On July 15, Marie Claire China teased their August edition by revealing Blackpink’s Lisa as the cover model. She was seen sporting their fall/winter collection 2022 that she herself had modelled for on the runway. Lisa showed off her duality by switching out the oversized varsity jacket and boyfriend jeans for a comfortable animal print fur coat, crop tops and nude makeup that complemented the casual and sporty concept of the pictorial.

Marie Claire China also gave a sneak-peek of their interview with the Blackpink star on Weibo where she shared that along with being known as a K-pop idol of the girl group Blackpink, she also wanted to be known as the Thai artist Lalisa that she revealed in her solo debut ‘Lalisa’. She says, “I want to say, I am Thai, I am Lalisa. I have confidence, and I want to pass this confidence on to my fans. When I went to Paris recently, people didn’t call me Lisa, but Lalisa…It was really touching, the message I conveyed in the song [‘Lalisa’] was really heard by everyone.”
