Astro’s Cha Eunwoo, AOA’s Seolhyun, and SF9’s Rowoon will appear as MCs of the show and with that the KBS Gayo Daechukje already has an upper hand over others thanks to the charismatic visuals of their hosts. TXT and Enhypen to collab for KBS

On December 7, KBS announced that the fourth generation boy groups will collab on a special cover dedicated to 8 groups from the history of K-pop. It was reported that both boy groups will include songs by legendary K-pop acts like HOT and perform hits through the years ending with music by the recent global pop sensation, BTS, who are also their sunbaes (seniors). More details about the performance have not been revealed to keep viewers curious but since this will be an in-person event with a live audience present, KBS knows this performance will get a lot of cheers.

Fans who just heard the news also revealed that BTS might have potentially spoiled the collaboration in a VLive that was streamed a month ago. Fans picked on a clip of all seven members of BTS discussing TXT performing on six tracks dedicated to BTS while they also dropped Enhypen’s name in the picture. For what it’s worth, the special cover will be a great tribute to the biggest music acts of the industry and fans are looking forward to the 12 idols sharing the stage together.

TXT and Enhypen strike again

TXT is one of the two boy groups managed completely by HYBE (formerly BigHit Entertainment) with the other being none other than BTS. After the label expanded, Belift Labs was created in collaboration between HYBE and CJ E&M, which is in charge of managing Enhypen. As the two groups are from subsidiary companies, it has always been interesting to witness the interaction between the members of the two groups.

Early this year, two members of TXT appeared on the late-night radio show, ‘All Night Japan’ hosted by Jay and Niki of the boy group Enhypen. TXT’s Taehyun and Huening Kai, along with the two Enhypen members, discussed the collaboration between the two bands for Enhypen’s album, ‘Dimension: Dilemma’.

Yeonjun of TXT worked on the song, ‘Blockbuster’ from the album, and fans loved the little interaction the two groups had because of it. Now, fans are excited for what the two groups have in store with their special stage for KBS’ Gayo Daechukje that will air on December 17 at 8.30 pm KST (6.30 am ET) and will run for 185 minutes on the network.
