While the world is getting complacent about the ongoing pandemic, people are still getting diagnosed with Covid-19. South Korea and the K-pop industry were commended for their swift action and maintenance that allowed the country to relatively retain a sense of normalcy. However, that has led to a few incidents of idols getting Covid-19 like Enhypen.

Around the last week of July, there was a breakout with a lot of idols getting infected. We saw EXID’s Hani, Ateez’s San, BTOB’s Minhyuk and even EXO’s Xiumin testing positive for Covid-19. But since then, they have recovered. Treasure’s Junghwan and Doyoung had also tested positive. Unfortunately, Enhypen’s had bad luck since five out of the seven members have ended up getting Covid-19.

On September 2, their label, BeLift Lab released a statement that said that Jungwon, Heeseung, Jay, Jake and Sunghoon had tested positive for Covid-19 and were in quarantine. They revealed that due to the presence of a positive patient at a location that Enhypen was filming, the boys went into quarantine on August 26. Jake was the first member to be diagnosed as he displayed various symptoms. Following, him, the other four members also showed similar symptoms and ended up testing positive.

Currently, they are showing light symptoms and are under quarantine. The remaining members and staff are also in quarantine and getting self-tested twice a day. Enhypen had recently released the Japanese version of ‘Given-Taken’ and announced a new album. The boys were busy preparing for their comeback that is scheduled for the end of September. Engenes were excited for teasers and concept photos for the September album. However, with the news about the boys getting Covid-19, priorities have changed.

'Get well soon'
