BTS Suga heads to Japan, fueling speculations about solo album debut in the works
SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA: BTS Suga has officially become the first K-pop artist to surpass 2 billion streams on Spotify. While this will take some time to sink in, his airport snaps have made fans go crazy over his luscious locks. Now, there is no doubt that BTS stays trending throughout the year. Soon after the famous K-pop group announced their hiatus, Min Yoongi aka Suga revealed that he is 'working hard' on his new solo album. As per reports, the K-pop star was seen leaving for Tokyo on Tuesday, September 27. While fans are speculating the Japan trip is related to his solo album, it could just be about a new photoshoot.
Back in June 2022, the BTS rapper revealed details about his working on a solo album. The artist has released two mixtapes: 'Agust D' which came out in 2016 and 'D-2' which was released in 2020. The two tracks were enough to signify his potential as a solo artist. Moreover, Suga is one of four Korean soloists to have landed on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 2022. In a recent interview with Weverse Magazine, the K-pop singer revealed his wish to release a follow-up to 'D-2'. Not much further was revealed, but this was enough to excite the BTS Army. This was also a testament to his potential as a successful solo artist.

Can fans expect a solo album debut or a new photoshoot?
Known for his calm demeanor, Min Yoongi of BTS held his cards close to his chest as he spoke about the album. Currently, when other members like V, Jimin, RM, Jungkook, and J-Hope are all concentrating on their solo careers, it is likely that Suga is spending his time on the same. However, the flight to Japan could also signal a brand new photoshoot. The BTS singer will presumably reveal the reason behind this venture soon.
The BTS star is going to Japan to attend a basketball match between the Warriors and Washington Wizards. The NBA teams will play two preseason games in Japan's Saitaam Super Arena. Suga posted a picture of himself holding a custom Warriors jersey on his Instagram confirming his motive for visiting. The picture has received over a million likes and a comment from NBA player Stephen Curry.

Fans thirst over Suga's all-black outfit and hair
The internet was left speechless when Suga was spotted at the Incheon airport leaving for Tokyo, Japan. The rapper was seen in an all-black outfit and loose locks, which made fans go gaga. The viral clip found Suga running his hands through his hair, which led to comparisons with BTS Jimin's hairdo. Suga wore an oversized designer shirt and denim worth $6000. He also wore a mask and a beanie which hid his face for the most part until the security check-up. Suga is usually seen in black outfits, making the color his trademark.
A fan tweeted the pictures taken by KMedia and wrote, "Press photos of Yoongi at Incheon going to Japan! HAVE A SAFE FLIGHT!" Another posted, "220927 preview". Meanwhile, one fan posted a clip from the airport and captioned it, "WTF HAVE I MISSED."
