Why are BTS and Blackpink fans now ignoring the V-Jennie hacker despite new cafe photos?
SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA: With hacker Gurumiharibo crossing the line and leaking a photo which supposedly shows Blackpink's Jennie in a bathtub, fans are furious. It has led to BTS and Blackpink fans not giving any attention to the new leaks which include photos of BTS' V and Jennie allegedly on a cafe date.
Blackpink's Jennie and BTS' V aka Kim Taehyung have been involved in a dating rumor since May. They were supposedly seen by a Knetz in Jeju Island. Then a couple of hackers appeared with a vengeance in late August and kept leaking several photos of the alleged couple. While in the beginning, the photos looked real, now fans are sure that they have been edited. The recent cafe date photos are now being mocked as K-pop fans don't care about the rumor anymore.

BTS' V and Blackpink's Jennie targeted by hackers
Since dating is considered taboo, fans assumed the hackers were creating a dating rumor to send hate to BTS' V and Blackpink's Jennie. But with the original photos of the supposed edited couple photos not being available on the internet, fans think the hackers are buying photos from stalkers and editing them. There is speculation that Jennie's friend twozoobrother or V's stylist could also have been hacked or bought off.

And while fans have been protesting about the privacy breach to BTS and Blackpink's label, the new leaks on September 26 have been a source of amusement. We got four photos of V and Jennie allegedly at a cafe date in Gyeonggi. In one, the man is wearing a mask and looking out of the window while in another he has taken off his mask. But fans do not think he looks like the BTS star. In the third, we just see a table. In the last photo we can just see the eye of the man and the woman that the hacker is claiming to be V and Jennie with the caption "you are my other half."

Another fan was amused, "Gurumi really thought they ate that, thought those pics was going to make an impact."
One fan commented, "Gurumi and the people behind this are literally using cosplays and went as far as hacking and stealing pics from staff who are common friends with both idols just to post their edits and cosplays pics and then post individual shots to say "we have originals" this is scary af." Another added, "Not trendy anymore. Ppl date all the time. Idols too. Byeee."
