What's happening with Majors, the K-pop girl group? Members in hospital or missing
With 100s of K-pop acts debuting every year, it is quite difficult for some groups to stand out. Agencies do their best to make their artists successful, but if they fail, they resort to strange tactics like NATURE’s blatant cultural appropriation for noise marketing or quickly disband groups like WE IN THE ZONE or Seven O’Clock. However, fans are wondering about the rookie girl group Majors who are not even been given a chance to make a mark.
Majors is a new girl group that debuted in March 2021 under ANS Entertainment. A past group also disbanded by ANS in just a year after claims of mistreatment. One of the members of this disbanded group, Bian, then re-debuted with Majors which is a six-member group. They released three digital singles in 2021 with their last comeback being in June 2021. They held a concert in September 2021, but that was it. Member Ida had hinted at an October comeback which didn’t happen. In January 2022, Bian and Suzy had then liked tweets that mentioned a March 2022 comeback. However, fans are worried after their latest updates.

‘Where is Vita’
In November, everyone was surprised when Major’s Shinhye shared that she was hospitalized through an Instagram story. No official statement was given by the label nor did we get an update on her health till she became active on Instagram again. Fans remembered how the same thing had happened with Aki and no one knew when she had recovered. Two days later, fans noticed that Vita had deactivated her Instagram account. A fanbase shared that it had been a month since they had seen her with the K-pop group. Fans trended #WhereIsVita but did not get any response there either. Many think she left the group or was let go.
Bian gives a worrying update
In early February, Bian then posted a worrying tweet and Instagram story. She shared “I hate torture of hope is the worst” and “Actually, I’m getting tired and it’s so hard and painful. My heart is stuffy.” She then deleted the two posts. A Korean news outlet hinted that the label must have forced Bian to debut with Majors as they rejected her request to terminate her contract with them. On February 4, fans noticed that she had removed Majors from her Instagram bio and all of the members had unfollowed the group’s official Instagram account.
UPDATE: Majors' manager has shared that all of the girls including Vita are still a part of Majors. She is resting for an undisclosed reason and so will not participate in group activities for a while. The girls recently uploaded a cover of LABOUM's 'Journey To Atlantis'.
Fans are angry as one Shinhye stan tweeted, “The company doesnt even try to hide the fact that they dont care about the girls. the same thing happened earlier this year with aki and they didnt say anything about her either.” Another demanded, “It’s been almost two months since member vita has deactivated her Instagram. @MAJORS_official We demand explanation.” One fan added, “She was literally talking about a comeback a few days ago. We don’t know for sure if she’s leaving but I wouldn’t want her to stay with with this company. MAJORS deserve better.” Another wished, “I hope the members leave this company and redebut under a different company.” One fan replied to ANS' statement about Vita, "Why they have waited so long idk? it's made them seem like an even worse company."
