'Crazy In Love': Itzy drops 'Loco' music video as comeback, fans get 'obsessed'
Itzy is back with yet another fierce comeback. With ‘Crazy In Love’ being the fourth-gen girl group’s very first studio album, they’ve gone all out for it. Looks like they’re exploring different kinds of love as seen with the title track ‘Loco’ which is Spanish for ‘crazy’. But while most summer songs were about first love, innocent youth and happy relationships, Itzy marks the end of the happy season and brings in the spooky season with an anti-romantic music video.
Itzy dropped the album and the music video for ‘Loco’ on September 24. They also have a second music video for the b-side ‘Swipe’ that is set to be released on September 27. And it looks like the music video for ‘Loco’ is equally loco as it’s a clash of different kinds of concepts of love, pop-art and punk rock aesthetic. The moombahton track full of Latin instruments is all about being crazy in love as they can’t seem to stop thinking about a boy.

Itzy go ‘Loco’ in music video
The track also debuted at #3 on Bugs and entered Genie and MelOn’s charts. Midzys (Itzy’s fandom) couldn’t get over the music video for ‘Loco’ as evident from it garnering 1 million views in just 26 minutes of its release. For those who thought that ‘Loco’ would be about young love and being crazy in love, it is anything but romantic. The girls show a darker side as they are obsessed with a guy who doesn’t seem to return their feelings. We see them trying to escape their feelings as seen with Yuna trying to break out with a chainsaw.
The last chorus goes even harder than the dance break as the girls bring neon and strobe lights, and speakers to dance in front of the boy’s window. As one Midzy pointed out, “THE VISUALS, THE SCENES, THE CHORUS, THE RAP, THE DANCE BREAK, EVERYTHING WAS JUST AMAZING.” Another added, “Lia’s part is so dangerous.” The dance break was iconic as one fan put it as, “Adding this to the list of iconic ITZY dance breaks.”

The girls’ visuals were equally mesmerizing as one Midzy commented, “Obsessed with kitty yeji she’s so cute.” Centre Chaeryeong was everything with one fan saying, “THE POWER CHAERYEONG HOLDS.” Another added, “Finna save all the ryujin pics we get this era.” Yuna trying to escape her thoughts with a chainsaw was another highlight of the music video, “THE TRANSITION? EXCUSE ME?!!” One Midzy couldn’t help but draw parallels with the beloved cartoon Phineas and Ferb, “ITZY LOCO sounded like a Phineas and Ferb Song, and I came to the conclusion that it reminded me of Busted by Candace Flynn and Vanessa Doofenshmirtz.”
