'It’s rigged’: 'The Circle' fans furious as catfish 'Jennifer' makes it to Season 5 finale
MANCHESTER, UNITED KINGDOM: As the Netflix strategy game show reality TV series ‘The Circle’ closed curtains on Season 5, viewers were met with an emotional finale episode. Samantha “Sam” Carmona took home the title of ‘The Circle’ influencer along with a whopping $100,000, and fans and contestants of the show alike were happy for the spicy makeup artist.
But one thing that most viewers were agitated over was players Brett Robinson and Xanthi Perdikomatis, who worked together under the alias "Jennifer," getting the chance to enter the finale as finalists for the grand prize. From the beginning of the series, most viewers have indeed villainized the two players for taking on the guise of the 50-year-old sweet dog trainer and fooling everyone on ‘The Circle’ Season 5. Xanthi and Brett were also subjected to plenty of backlashes after the duo let down their number one ally, Tom Houghton. Now the pair yet again faces the brutal jabs thrown at them by countless fans and viewers of the show for being among the five finalists, which included players Sam, Chaz Lawery, Raven Sutton, and Tasia Lesley aka catfish “Tamira.”

Flocking to Twitter to express their opinions and distaste for the duo, fans were quick to note that Xanthi and Brett should not have been in the finals. One person wrote, “Jennifer should've never made it that far holy s**t.” Another added to the debate, “But like how did jennifer make it to the circle finale? chaz ain’t s**t for blocking oliver.” A viewer had also tweeted, “If #TheCircle let’s Jennifer win. It’s rigged. I’m p****d she didn’t get blocked by the super influencer.”
While one fan penned, “And with that being said...I'm happy as HELL "Jennifer" didn't win and I hope this is the last season where The Circle pulls that second chance bs. It's getting stale. A blocked contestant needs to actually be BLOCKED permanently!!” A social media user also pointed out, “Ok I think I figured it out.. the catfish in this season didn’t make it as far as the producers hoped so they forced Jennifer and Tamira to the end so they would have some sort of a surprise at the final table .. only logical explanation of how they made it that far.” While one added, “Y’all done spared Jennifer too d**n much. Should’ve never made it to the finale.”
