'The Circle' Season 5: Samantha 'Sam' Carmona climbs up the rank after forming alliance with Chaz Lawery
MANCHESTER, UK: 'The Circle' returns to Netflix for a Season five with a brand-new cast of contestants, hoping to be declared the most popular influencer and earn a large cash reward. However, one aspect of the first four episodes released this week that stood out to viewers was how makeup artist Samantha 'Sam' Carmona made a comeback at the end after being placed low in the first two rounds of ranking.
Michelle Buteau, who has been in films such as 'Isn't It Romantic?' and 'Always Be My Maybe,' hosts Netflix's blockbuster reality television show. 'The Circle' follows a group of people who reside in the same apartment building but only contact via online messaging devices, never meeting in person or even hearing one another's voices. The cast rates each other during ranking sessions throughout the game, with the most popular labeled 'influencers' and the least popular at risk of being 'blocked' and ousted from the game. Carmona, who arrived with a huge "New York personality", regrettably set a target on her back right away, affecting her ranking and placing her at risk of being booted.

'The Circle' Season 5: Influencer Raven Sutton saves her hot crush Marvin Achi from elimination
Carmona and seven other participants enter The Circle as 'The Circle' Season 5 gets underway in an effort to swiftly form connections. But before everybody can even begin to get to know each other, it's time for everyone to cast their votes for the season's first influencers. Viewers don't instantly learn who the influencers are in a Circle first. Furthermore, each member must instead choose an individual they would block if they were labeled an influencer. The twist? Everyone is required to publicly reveal who they would block if they were determined as influencers, and The Circle will only release the names of individuals who have been blocked after establishing if the player is an influencer.
As a result, an intense chain of events occurs in which Raven Sutton and Chaz Lawery, respectively, block Xanthi Perdikomatis and Brett Robinson. Carmona wasn't immediately blocked, but her rivals chose her as one of the leading contenders when asked who they would want to block. When it comes to blocking, everyone from Brett Robinson to Marvin Achi proposed Carmona's name. She was shocked to see herself at the bottom of the influencer list when it was announced following the first block of the season. This only meant people wanted to take Sam out.
Even though Sam states she is not one of those who would "kiss people's as*es", she was forced to do so in order to advance in the rankings. Her message was ignored when she hoped to hear from Marvin about why he voted against her. Instead, she stated, "This game is going to try to break us down. I'm going to stay positive and just embrace every moment. #DramaFree *waving the white flag*."
Later, Carmona summoned Marvin to a private conversation to clarify things. "Hi, Marvin, I wanted to reach out to you personally, in private, just to gain some clarity. You were one of my favorites, so you can imagine how surprised I was last night when I saw that you wanted to Block me #IComeInPeace."
Marvin replied, "The only reason I said I would Block you, was only because I thought your pictures were heavily filtered." This gave Carmona some sort of relief since she was okay with being judged at face value and not for her actions.
Jersey Chaz later contacted Carmona, his New Yorker bestie, for a one-on-one chat. Sam told him that she had made good connections with the ladies and that Chaz was his 'ace' among the boys. Hearing this, Chaz offered some candor without putting anyone under the bus. "Somebody has their eye on you," he wrote to Carmona. Chaz offered a very little clue that it was Marvin and Bruno (aka Billie-Jean Blackett). Chaz was delighted to come out to Carmona as her Circle #Gusband after discovering she was bisexual.
When Carmona named Brittney (as Brian Clark) the most annoying member of the group, she was called a 'snake' and a 'backstabber.' But in her defense, Brittney frustrates her with her secrecy. As a result, she wound herself on Brittney's hit list. During the season's second rating, Chaz places Carmona at the top of his list. In his words, "You never put another woman above your wife, period." Carmona gladly returned the favor by putting Chaz at the top of her list as well. Brittney, on the other hand, believes Carmona jeopardized the game for her, so she places her at the bottom of her list. As a result, Carmona treated Brittney similarly. Finally, when the results were revealed, Carmona vaulted to third place, dethroning both Marvin and Brittney.
