MANCHESTER, UK: A new season of 'The Circle' has begun, and boy, has this season wasted no time in sending people packing! The fierce social media game show brought back the first two ousted players of the season, who banded together to knock down the top influencer of the week, in one of the twists promised by the makers!

While we're used to seeing an elimination in the first four episodes of the competition, this season began with a series of surprise eliminations, proving that this season is unlike any we've seen before! To begin the game, eight participants entered 'The Circle.' Two of these players are promptly shown the door, allowing Jennifer and Tom Houghton to enter. So, what is so alarming about the arrival of a new player?

'The Circle' Season 5: 'Big Brother' alum and cyber-security officer Brett Robinson takes another shot at win

Season 5 of 'The Circle' begins with eight participants entering The Circle and attempting to make connections quickly. But, before anybody can fully get to know one another, it is time for everybody to vote for the season's first influencers. In a Circle first, we don't instantly learn who the influencers are. Rather, each player must choose who they would block if they were designated as an influencer. What's the catch? Everyone must publicly declare who they would block if they were deemed an influencer, and The Circle will expose the identities of those blocked only after it has been determined whether the player is an influencer.

This sets off a chain of events in which Xanthi Perdikomatis and Brett Robinson are blocked by Raven Sutton and Chaz Lawery, respectively. The duo is removed from the game; but, in an unexpected twist, they are offered a second chance to stay in the game by teaming up with Jennifer — a completely new player who joins 'The Circle' in Episode 2. After 'The Circle' participants get to know their new Circle pals, it's time for another rating, and Raven and Chaz are once again recognized as influencers. Seeing Raven remain at the top of her game inspired Xanthi and Brett to devise a plan to knock her off her game a little. The Circle offered each player in a game of Single Pringles a brand new dating profile page. They don't, however, get to determine what goes on it. It will be filled out anonymously by another participant. Raven was well aware that "when it's anonymous, sh*t is always gonna go down." When Xanthi and Brett, as #TeamJennifer, were offered the opportunity to create a dating profile for Raven, they couldn't have been happier. This was their chance to lower Raven's ratings and make her appear a little sly. Instead of using Cupid's arrows, the pair just shoots firearms.

Brett added that Raven's worst habit is that she "can't stay faithful." Seeing other people go easy with other people's dating profiles made Xanthi think they are playing it too safe. Raven's profile shocked not just her, but also the other participants in the Circle. #TeamJennifer also described Raven as "fun, insensitive, and shady." Other players were taken aback since they assumed she was really popular. Raven became concerned that her growing popularity was threatening others. When given the ability to remain anonymous, individuals reveal their true colors, according to Chaz. Brett, on the other hand, stated that he felt awful for doing so, but that "she just needs to be taken down a little bit."

Raven replied to the group chat, "Damn, who's trying to make me stay single for the rest of my life LMAO 😂 It's all good in my hood. My energy speaks for itself, that's what matters the most to me #AlwaysLoyal, and the people who I made alliances with, know it."

Do you believe Xanthi and Brett were successful in bringing Raven down? Tune in next Wednesday for four brand new episodes of 'The Circle' Season 5 exclusively on Netflix to see if Raven still ranks high in popularity.
