After Yujin and Sorn, two more members - Seungyeon and Yeeun - of the 2015 girl group have announced their exit from CLC. Sorn is finally doing well as a solo artist after being called out for bringing CLC down while  Yujin has found success with the rookie girl group Kep1er after her journey on the Mnet survival show, ‘Girls Planet 999’. Back when the Mnet survival show first featured Choi Yu-jin (Yujin) in one of her solo interviews, she caused quite a stir by revealing that CLC was on the verge of disbandment and the members who were initially doing well in the industry before the pandemic had to take a break as their activities were put on a halt for no reason.

The statement from Yujin caused fans to sympathize with her and she became one of the few audience-favorite contestants on the survival program. However, Yujin’s statement met with a stern rebuttal from former member and now-soloist, Sorn who claimed that CLC was not disbanding but the other members were in fact, waiting for Yujin to come back from the show so that they could make a comeback. As fate would have it for her, Yujin made it to the Top 9 contestants and won the program to make her debut as a member of Kep1er and an eventual end of CLC. Back in November of 2021, Sorn first left the group, and now members Seungyeon and Yeeun announce their exit from the Cube Entertainment girl group.

Seungyeon and Yeeun announce exit from CLC

On March 18, Cube Entertainment, the label that manages the activities of Cube Entertainment released their official statement that members Jang Seung-yeon and Jang Ye-eun well known by their stage names Seungyeon and Yeeun were going to take their exit from the label after their exclusive contracts with Cube Entertainment had expired. The label went on to thank both members for being a part of the company as well as dedicated members of CLC for the past seven years.

Cube also promised to support Seungyeon and Yeeyn who are both set to start their respective solo careers in the future. Both Seungyeon and Yeeun made their debut in the year 2015 with the girl group CLC as seven members namely, Elkie, Seungyeon, Seunghee, Sorn, Yujin, Yeeun, and Eunbin. Elkie was the first member to announce her exit from CLC back in February of 2021 followed by Yujin’s unofficial exit as she debuted with Kep1er in January of 2022.

With Elkie, Sorn, and Yujin already out of the picture and now as Yeeun and Seungyeon announce their exits from CLC, the girl group is almost through with their slow disbandment. The only two members left in CLC are now Seunghee and Eunbin while it is expected that both of them will also choose not to renew their contracts with Cube Entertainment when they come to the point of contract expiration.
