The K-pop girl group hunt with Mnet’s deadly survival show ‘Girls Planet 999’ has come to an end but the drama that ensued in the initial episodes of the show just got debunked. Since the beginning of time, fans of K-pop have been aware of Mnet’s tactics when it comes to generating more views and making celebrities go viral in the worst possible way.

Fans have been calling Mnet, Msnake over the past few years all thanks to their evil editing techniques making it seem like more was said when it clearly wasn’t in order to make things more dramatic in their award show bytes, interviews, and mainly their survival shows. Older fans of Mnet’s shows that watched ‘Street Woman Fighter’ and ‘Girls Planet 999’ are well aware of this tactic and have grown to discredit Mnet when it comes to ‘Who said what?’ dramas but newer fans take these things seriously.

‘We go up, but you don’t’

Back in the early episodes of the show, Mnet aired the teaser for the episode of 'Girls Planet 999' that was to air on August 6 which saw the Chinese contestant on the show, Fu Yaning butting heads with alleged ‘former’ member of CLC and now one of the winning contestants of the show and member of the group, Kep1er, Yujin.

In the teaser clip that was released by Mnet on July 30, it was shown how Fu Yaning was randomly asked to say a word to Yujin who was considered as one of the most experienced contestants of the show due to her former training as a member of a full-fledged K-pop group, CLC. Fu Yaning ended up addressing the veteran idol by saying, “We go up, but you don’t,” hinting at her group, CLC’s disbandment.

Yujin gained public sympathy

Earlier, Yujin was seen getting emotional and alleging how CLC was as good as being disbanded in her auditions gaining a lot of public as well as judges sympathy early on in the show. This claim however was rubbished by her bandmate and Thai-born idol, Sorn who said that the group and members were waiting for Yujin to come back from the show confusing a lot of fans about the entire ordeal with CLC.

Still having the public on her side, Yujin was one of the most loved contestants on the show which is why Fu Yaning’s comment to her was taken very seriously by fans of the show around the world who started hating on Fu Yaning.

Fu Yaning reveals the truth

Even at the time, fans of the show who were aware of Mnet’s schemes had called it in their Twitter discussions but a recent Chinese interview has surfaced where fans are given more clarification from Fu Yaning herself on the authenticity of that remark to Yujin. Fu Yaning talked about the comment she made on the show.

In the clip that is now being spread online, Fu Yaning mentions that the comment was taken rather fairly by all contestants as well as the judges on the show. The comment she made was because the makers wanted her to say something mean to CLC’s Yujin but when Fu Yaning did so, Yujin herself laughed it off as well as all the others on set.

Fu Yaning exposes Mnet’s evil editing

Fu Yaning mentioned that what fans saw on-air was completely different from what happened on set at that time. Fu Yaning says that the editors made it seem that the situation was way worse than what it was in reality and made her look like a bad person. She said that her friends and family called her up to interrogate her about her mental health as she was in a bad place due to the negative comments she got all thanks to Mnet’s evil editing.

The video of Fu Yaning’s emotional interview ended on a good note as she said that now as time has passed, she has more fans than haters and she has gotten over the mull phase of her life by starting to look at the brighter things in life.

Fans say, 'I hate Mnet'

Fans have started calling Mnet out for their manipulation tactics as one fan said, "I swear to god i hate msnake so fucking much they did fuyaning so bad i hope whoever edited it that way rots in hell." Another fan said, "Msnake better not sue fu yaning for telling the truth."

One more fan defended Fu Yaning saying, "As we all expected, mnet's poorly scripted fake drama ruined both fu yaning's image and other trainees as well, and for what? was it necessary to ruin someone's image? mock all these talented girls who came all the way from another country? how miserable of them."

Some fans pointed out how Fu Yaning should not be forgiven because she has used the n-word in the past calling her a racist. One said, "Why is everyone starting to feel bad for the fu yaning girl bc of mnet evil editing did everyone forget shes racist." Another contradicted, "So yeah gonna speak abt fu yaning RACIST. a racist person doesn’t admit they are wrong fu yaning apologized and admitted she was wrong yaning was uneducated that time, her country doesn't really speak and teach abt racism."
