Why did Sorn leave CLC? REAL reason Thai member left amid rumors of disbandment
The group CLC (aka Crystal Clear) made its debut in 2015 as a five-member group under Cube Entertainment and it looks like the group has gone back to its original count of members. After making their debut with the mini-album, ‘First Love’. One year after their debut, Eunbin and Hong Kong member, Elkie were the two new members to be added to the group making the group a septet. Following unrivaled and unprecedented success as a rookie girl group a total of 10 mini albums after going on a hiatus in 2019 they have since not returned.
Amid rumors of disbandment following the group's member, Choi Yujin, participating in the Mnet survival show, ‘Girls Planet 999’ and eventually becoming one of the nine winning contestants that will debut as part of the girl group, Kep1er, all does not seem so well for the group.

Sorn leaves CLC
On November 16, CLC’s Thai-born member, Sorn as well as Cube Entertainment made the official announcement about her departure from the group as well as the label after coming to a mutual agreement. Sorn is now the second and only remaining international member to make an exit from the group leaving the future of CLC hanging in balance. With Yujin, one of the five remaining members of the group declared as “inactive” due to her participation in the new girl group, Kep1er, fans are unsure what to make of this announcement.
While Yujin had earlier mentioned that CLC has unofficially disbanded during one of the episodes of the survival show, ‘Girls Planet 999’ Sorn negated Yujin’s statement on her social media stating that the group was waiting for Yujin to finish the show so they could have an official comeback. This unnecessary name-calling led to fans being in a state of confusion all this while only complicating the future of the group further.
Sorn’s statement
Sorn gave out a statement on her Instagram account as well as most of her other social media platforms talking about her experiences in the K-pop Entertainment industry over the last ten years. She ended her statement by thanking the label, Cube Entertainment for giving her an opportunity as well as fans for all the support and love they have given her. Sorn ended her note with, “I wish my girls all the best and I will support them in everything they do.”
