Is Ashley Darby's divorce from Michael FAKE? Skeptical 'RHOP' fans say they’ll 'reconcile' eventually
POTOMAC, WASHINGTON, D.C.: From Nicki Minaj to loyal 'Real Housewives of Potomac' audience, everybody had questions about Ashley and Michael Darby's marriage. Aside from the massive age gap between the couple, Michael's off-putting remarks and constant infidelity in their marriage left fans constantly wondering why the 'RHOP' housewife was putting up with him.
So when Ashley announced that she was divorcing Michael, it wasn't just the fans but also her fellow housewives, especially Candiace Bassett, who were excited for her. The excitement soon turned into skepticism after watching how Ashley was approaching the divorce. Despite clearly stating that she was divorcing Micahel, the housewife later backtracked her stance and insisted that she was separating from him. The housewife explained that in the state of Virginia they would have to be separated for at least a year before getting a divorce. While Ashley's explanation makes sense, her insistence on not hiring any lawyers, then proceeding to buy a house with Michael under a LLC, and finally declaring that she had "coochie craving" for him, left not only her fellow 'RHOP' stars but also the audience wondering if the housewife was really planning on divorcing Michael.

Several 'RHIOP' fans took to Twitter to declare that Ashley and Michael were faking a divorce for a storyline and also to smoothen Michael's exit from the Bravo show. A fan tweeted, "I'm not really buying Ashley's divorce. It's giving storyline. I think when Nicki put her on notice at s6 reunion, she concocted this. I also think Michael will be extremely vindictive and malicious with her during the divorce... #rhop." "I’m not believing a second of this Ashley storyline. If it’s the divorce and/or entering another business venture with her ex, the lawyers are in place and the contracts are drawn up. Ashley has a clearer plan than she’s letting on. No need for intervention. #RHOP," wrote a fan. "I don’t think Ashley getting a divorce either #RHOP," added a fan.
