Two fans claimed they saw Donghyun after a fanmeeting hugging a woman while they were waiting for a cab in Gangnam

AB6IX’s Kim Donghyun has become the latest K-pop idol to be swept up in dating rumors. After the ridiculous claims that NCT’s Haechan and Itzy’s Ryujin were dating because they had pets with similar names, BTS’ V and Blackpink’s Jennie broke the internet with rumors that they had gone on a date in Jeju. And now fans think that Donghyun is dating as he was allegedly spotted with a non-celebrity woman.

June 6 was rife with rumors as two AB6IX fans tweeted and posted a photo that they had seen Donghyun hugging a girl. In the photo that has now gone viral, we see the backs of a man holding a woman at her waist. While their faces are not visible, some fans point out that, earlier in the day, Donghyun had been sporting the same t-shirt as the man in the photograph.

Fans spot Donghyun with a girl

One of the fans tweeted that they were in the Apgujeong-Dong district of Gangnam and they had been waiting for a while there, which is why they could clearly see that the man was indeed Donghyun. The fan said, “Yesterday while waiting for the cab I saw him when he took off his cap. As soon as I took the picture, he must have noticed as he walked away while holding the female’s hands. My friend and I both had a good look at him. Believe what you want. I will delete the picture soon.” 

The fan also posted a photo of Donghyun in the same t-shirt on the day he was going to AB6IX’s fanmeeting. They concluded that the idol must have left after the fanmeeting in the same clothes to meet the girl. Knetizens had mixed reactions as some reprimanded the fans by reminding them that this could be considered ‘molka’ (illegal filming) while others were sarcastic, “What's even sadder is that he didn't "get caught" it's like he's asking us to make gossips about him but there's no reactions to it. This is the good thing about being unpopular.” Another wrote, “He should be a bit more careful... Meeting your girlfriend right after a fanmeeting is like swearing at your fans.”

Update: Donghyun's label has denied the dating rumor and shared that the AB6IX star was just meeting up with friends, "It’s true that Kim Donghyun met up with his hometown friends after a company dinner. He was going to go home after his meetup wrapped up and after he sent off his friends, he took a taxi home himself." 

‘I HOPE Donghyun has a gf’

But international fans and non-fans are happy for Donghyun if the rumor is indeed true. One fan joked, “Imagine looking as good as kim donghyun and everybody wants you to stay single.” Another said, “I HOPE donghyun has a gf so we can weed out the annoying ‘fans”.’ One commented, “I wonder if that girl already memorized all ab6ix songs and choreographies from debut days up until now since it's kim donghyun's official requirement on how to marry him!” Another posted, “Ab6ix donghyun trending on weibo hot searches bc he was seen on the streets with his gf? I’m glad he has a normal love life that’s it I have no other opinion on it. Good for him. Now i shall continue being a casual listener~.” One added, “Good for him! went to work and still made time for his girl✨ can’t say the same for some guys.”
