LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: We appreciate Elliot Page's leadership in advocating for transgender guys on the red carpet and in the film industry. But fans undoubtedly did miss 'The Umbrella Academy' star's classic haircut with the perfect short back and sides for his thin hair and fine features when he revealed his new perm at the Emmys 2024.

Could the perm be returning? If celebrity hair is any indication, this might be one of 2024's most surprising hair trends.

Given their unfavorable connection with frizzy, over-processed '80s hair, Elliot had to deal with some mocking when his photos of the new haircut went viral.

One user quipped at Elliot's new hair do, "I always knew The Ramones would make a comeback. Being in the ground could never stop Joey." While one added, "don't even know if this is a joke lololol."

One person wrote, "This is why I don’t get perms, you end up looking like a dandelion gone to seed." A fourth joked, "I thought this was a Brady Bunch reboot for a second."

Others wrote, "Steven Tyler looks handsome." While another thought, "I thought that was Justin Bieber."

Elliot claimed that when he was ten years old, he chopped his hair short, and people began to address him as a kid, saying "thanks, bud" as he opened the door for them at the mall.
