LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'Succession' star Sarah Snook clinched an Emmy award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for her starring role as Shiv Roy in the HBO show. The latest win marked Sarah's first-ever Emmy.

Television Academy announced the big news on X (formerly Twitter) and wrote, "Sarah Snook wins the #Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for @Succession (@HBO/@streamonmax)!"

Sarah left behind her fellow nominees Sharon Horgan for 'Bad Sisters', Melanie Lynskey for 'Yellowjackets', Elisabeth Moss for 'The Handmaid’s Tale', Keri Russell for 'The Diplomat' and Bella Ramsey for her role in 'The Last of Us'.

However, fans claimed 'The Last of Us' star Bella was a more deserving actress for her role as Ellie than Sarah. They took to social media and penned their outrage.

A social media user tweeted, "So you're telling me that Bella Ramsey LOST the Emmy for best actress in a DRAMA series where she literally did THIS HERE in The Last Of Us."

Another person added, "Fuck the Emmys, golden globes and critics choice awards. The Last Of Us, Bella Ramsey and Pedro Pascal are winners and only my opinion matters."

Another critic wrote, "Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey are getting robbed of every single award like give them their awards rn‼️‼️"

Another X user commented, "They missed out on making history with the Bella Ramsey awards."

Another person added, "Bella Ramsey was robbed of this one. I’m watching TLOU right now, finished episode 4 but she’s just killing it right now and imo is more deserving of this."

Sarah Snook thanks her crew member in her acceptance speech

'Succession' actress Sarah Snook expressed gratitude to her 'Succession' cast members and loved ones in her acceptance speech.

She started her speech by noting, "Thanks to everyone who voted and for loving the show as much as we did as a cast making it and as a crew making it."

She elaborated, “We put our all into it, and the bar was set so high. I think that’s what spurred us on from every department."

Sarah noted that efforts and said, "We all gave it our best, led by [series creator] Jesse Armstrong and [director] Mark Mylod and my cast who I love so much and I’m going to miss."

Sarah also extended her thanks to her family, saying, "To my mom and dad, I love you. Thank you for having a dress-up box when I was a kid. This is where it gets you!" Sarah also thanked her newborn kid and said, "Also, the biggest thank you is to someone who won’t understand anything I’m saying at the moment, but I carried her with me in this last season."

'The Last of Us' star Bella Ramsey seemed to be more of a pant-suit star. The actress recently graced the 75th Primetime Emmy Awards red carpet in a green suit with a purple shirt, red necktie and dark red Prada loafers.

Fans saw Bella's similar look at the 2024 'Golden Globes' where she sported a tailored blue color jacket and grey pants. Despite basic attire, the actress' minimalist look was hight praised y her fans.
