LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'Yellowjackets' star Sophie Nelisse did an outstanding job as a Young Shauna, especially in Season 2. However, the actress' work was snubbed at the 75th Primetime Emmy Awards.

Sophie starred as the younger version of Shauna, who goes through the terrible loss of her baby and her best friend while the team is stranded in the woods. Sophie remarkably depicted Shauna's rage, fear, and devastation as she suffered the trauma in the aftermath of her child's gut-wrenching death.

Sophie's fantastic performance was unfortunately ignored at Emmy 2024 in the lead actress nominations. However, multiple fans suggested that 'The Last of Us' actress Bella Ramsey robbed Sophie's accolade.

Bell is up for the 2024 Emmy Award in the Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series category for her role of Ellie in the HBO show. However, furious fans took to X (formerly known as Twitter) and called out the award ceremony for not recognizing Sophie's breakout role.

A social media user wrote, "Not to pit young talent against each other but sophie nelisse did more in one episode of yellowjackets than bella ramsey did in a whole season of tlou btw." Another person added, "Sophie nelisse i will get you that emmy."

Another critic said, "She was robbed so badly this awards season." Another internet user penned, "Emmys day and I still think they are wrong in overlooking sophie nelisse's work in yellowjackets s2."

Another X user wrote, " will NEVER forgive the emmy’s for not nominating her. not to be rude but she literally out acted almost everyone in the show. AND THAT IS DIFFICULT. sophie nélisse i will back u forever." Another tweet reads, "As we prepare to lose the emmy’s tonight let us remember the biggest snub in emmy’s history: sophie nélisse."

'Yellowjackets' star Sophie Nélisse's character Shauna gave birth in the wilderness and the actress detailed the emotional scene. In an interview with ET, Sophie admitted, "It was definitely just a very emotional and, like, very heavy duty week."

She also revealed that she was "incredibly nervous, like, coming into it just because I feel so blessed that the writers have written such a beautiful episode." Sophie claimed that she just wanted to live up to the expectations and she was really scared that she couldn't do that.

However, Sophie watched multiple videos and talked to women close to her in life about the giving birth experience to stand out in the scene. She shared with the outlet, "What I realized is that the birthing experiences are so personal and different for every woman and I was just trying to honor that diversity within the episode."

However, after Shauna's child died in Season 2, Sophie was also left heartbroken and revealed that her co-stars helped her to cope with her emotions and film the heart-wrenching episode.

'The Last of Us' actress Bella Ramsey's starring HBO show received quite a backlash from Naughty Dog games fans. The viewers criticised the homosexual angle to the story of characters Bill and Frank.

In a recent interview, Bella, who recently came out as gender-fluid herself, was asked about her stand on the backlash. The actress claimed that she was largely unbothered by the trolling and backlash.

She added, "Whatever decision is made by the creators, there’s gonna be opinions. It’s quite nice to just have that level of distance from it now."
