Disney+ is coming out with the sixth installment of the 'Home Alone' franchise and they've put a spin on it. Think 'Home Alone' but British, as the trailer of 'Home Sweet Home Alone' showcases British characters instead of American, but who's complaining? 

Well, fans are and they're not really looking forward to watching the movie. 'Home Alone' loyalists have said the adaptation is unnecessary and would prefer to watch the Macaulay Culkin movies themselves. But let's not judge before we watch the movie, yeah? The trailer although very similar to the original, looks to be fun and could make a nice little family watch. Read on to know more about the cast that will carry on the legacy.

Ellie Kemper as Pam

Elizabeth Claire Kemper is an American actress, comedian, and writer. While studying at Princeton, Kemper was a member of the school's improv comedy troupe, Quipfire, which was known for its elaborate pranks with the interest continuing even after graduation. After she moved to New York she participated in various comedies and sketches. Kemper auditioned for a role in the comedy series 'Parks and Recreation', by Michael Schur and Greg Daniels who also created 'The Office'. Although she didn't get cast in the role, she received a call back to audition for a supporting role in 'The Office' as Erin Hannon. This is the role most fans know her from as she was later cast as the main character, She then went on to play the titular role of Kimmy Schmidt in the comedy series 'Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt'. The actress has been nominated for a Critics' Choice Movie Award, two Critics' Choice Television Awards, two Primetime Emmy Awards, three Satellite Awards, and seven Screen Actors Guild Awards. Her most recent appearance will be in 'Home Sweet Home Alone' on Disney+.



 

Archie Yates as Max

Archie James Yates is a British child actor. Born on February 22, 2009, Archie is just 12 years old. The child actor is quite new to the acting scene with him making his debut just two years ago in Taika Waititi's comedy-drama movie 'Jojo Rabbit'. His performance as Yorki, Jojo's best friend won hearts all over the world with his sweet, comical, and genuine portrayal of the character. He easily stood out in the movie which saw his performance receive a Critics' Choice Movie Award nomination. He then went on to voice the character of Sprout, in 'Wolfboy and the Everything Factory', which was released on 24 September 2021 on Apple TV+. For his next project, he will be seen the sixth installment of the 'Home Alone' franchise and will be playing the lead character of Max Mercer.

'Home Sweet Alone' will release on November 12, 2021, on Disney+.
