FRANKLIN, TENNESSEE: The ‘Flip or Flop’ star Christina Hall recently posted a new family photo on her Instagram account. The image featured the reality star, her new husband, Josh Hall, and her three children, Taylor, Brayden, and Hudson. But what caught many people’s attention was that Christina had hidden her youngest son, Hudson’s face, with an emoji.

The ’Flip or Flop’ star captioned the post as, “What better back drop for family photos than a beautiful fall colored field?! This photoshoot was one of my favorites. I Love my family.” And While it appeared as a completely normal image with her family posing in a forested area, she added the blonde boy’s emoji over Hudson’s face. Hudson, who she shares with her second ex-husband Ant Anstead, is in the reality star’s husband’s arms. While many wondered about the reasons behind the HGTV star’s actions, Christina soon explained why she covered Hudson’s face in her latest story. Christina stated that she hid his face simply because she “chose” not to show his face. Here’s what she said.

In her latest Instagram story, the HGTV star explained, “This will be the last time I talk about this…. Since there is so much confusion and false info about Hudson’s photos. People on here telling me, “she was never told she couldn’t post”… Umm correct… I never said that!” She continued, “I was NOT told I could no longer post Hudson… I was NOT told anything by a judge because I was never in front of a judge.” She stated why she hid her son’s face, writing, “I CHOSE and Choose to not post Hudson because I was exhausted over Instagram being used as a tool against me.”

Explaining that she was tired of the social media platform being used against her, she said, “This has nothing to do with ads, people need to wrap their heads around the fact that none of this actually had to do with advertisements. This is about CONTROL. There are many things that I was no longer ok with. Instagram was being used as a tool against me to judge the kind of mom I was and I was sick of it.” She told her critics to back to Ant’s page and said, “Every photo I posted of Hudson on my story or main page was being screen shot and picked apart. So that is why I am choosing not to post Hudson. Now the “now it alls” can go back to his page please. Thank you.”

Many had assumed that Christina hid her son’s face because she had been in a custody battle over the toddler for months. According to ShowBiz Cheatsheet, in April, Anstead filed for sole custody of Hudson and accused Christina of endangering Hudson. He accused his ex-wife of exploiting their son on social media and reality TV. Later, Christina shared an Instagram post announcing she would no longer show Hudson on TV or social media, while her ex-husband has continued posting unsponsored photos and videos of the toddler.

Christina also co-parents her two other children, Taylor and Brayden who she shares with her first husband Tarek El Moussa. While Tarek is now married to 'Selling Sunset' star Heather El Moussa nee Young, the latter has expressed that the arrangement surely gets tricky for the star. “I was always second,” Heather had said during a recent appearance on the 'Today Show’s 'The New Rules' series, adding that while “no one ever made her feel that way” on purpose, it was bound to happen.
