Tarek El Moussa and Christina Anstead's divorce: A look at ex-couple's dramatic split and what helped them move on
Christina Anstead and Tarek El Moussa had a very public separation in May, 2016. While both have kept mum on the exact reason of their divorce in January 2018, reports suggest there was a lot of cheating involved and a gun, no less.
So, who cheated on whom? At this point, there are multiple reports that are available online but nothing can be confirmed yet because both Tarek and Christina have hidden the reasons really well. Apparently, once Tarek left the house with a gun leaving Christina shaken that he could take his own life. Their fight over Christina flirting with one of their employees escalated to a point where the cops had to intervene.
That's not all, some even say that Christina reportedly caught Tarek hooking up with their nanny, Alyssa Logan. They even had a bit of a fling. It is reported that Christina was disgusted that Tarek would pursue one of their employees who is quite younger to him. "Tarek and Alyssa weren’t together for long, it only lasted a couple of months—it was a classic rebound romance and burned very bright, very quick before just fizzling out," an insider informed Hollywood Life and added that Tarek assured Christina that nothing had happened between him and Alyssa.
Tarek went through a "very, very difficult" time, to point where he had "hit rock bottom". But, it was settled with time. "As you know, time heals thing. I didn't know what I missing until I found what I missing," he told Entertainment Tonight. But that was the extent of Tarek's version of addressing his divorce with Christina. In his interviews, Tarek has always maintained how much of a good mother she has been to their two children, Taylor and Brayden. They enjoy co-parenting and are trying their best to spend time with them.
While Christina is tackling divorce with husband of 2 years Ant Anstead, Tarek is building a new life with girlfriend Heather Rae Young, a realtor and star on Netflix's hit show 'Selling Sunset'.
Tarek will be next seen on Discovery + show 'Tarek's Flip Side', which is scheduled to premiere on January 4, Monday.
