A new season of 'Flip or Flop' is going on the air in an hour from now. Season 9 boasts of 15 new episodes and HGTV fans are all geared up to tune in to the show which is also one of the most popular on the network. Christina Anstead and Tarek El Moussa as hosts have managed to keep the audiences entertained and hooked for the past eight seasons. Their camaraderie is one that's unmatched and them combining forces to flip a house and sell it for profit has made for an enjoyable watch across all these years.

The hosts appeared on the show as a married couple in the flipping business and their relationship was one of the elements that drew in the audiences. However, their marriage fell apart in 2018, breaking many hearts of diehard Tarek-Christina fans and the future of the show immediately appeared to be in jeopardy. To top that, Christina and Tarek both found love again and it started to become even more obvious that they'd not return to host the show together. Adding to that, HGTV gave Christina her solo show called 'Christina on the Coast'. Second part of the show's second season just finished airing on the network a couple of weeks ago.

Christina seemed extremely amazed and enamored by her new husband, Ant. The two made a great pair and a glimpse into their life as a married couple was a part of each episode of 'COTC' and it was hard to tell that trouble was brewing underneath those happy faces. Their relationship was first made public in 2018 and Christina had said at the time that they met at the end of 2018. During a PEOPLE interview in July 2018, she'd spoken about her then-boyfriend and how enamored she was by him. “I can see myself getting married to him,” she said. “He’s so down-to-earth, and we have so much in common. We basically do the same thing, so he gets what my world is like, and he’s just rolled with the punches and handled everything so well.”

A couple of months later, they were married in a winter wonderland themed wedding held in the yard of their California home in the presence of 70 of their closest friends and family members. In March 2019, the couple announced they were pregnant with their first child and in September 2019, their son, Hudson, arrived. In December, the couple celebrated their wedding anniversary with Ant sharing highlights from the wedding on his Instagram page and Christina posting a wedding video on her's. Cut to September 18, 2020, Christina announced that she and Ant are separating just a couple of months before their second wedding anniversary. Ant too shared an update on his page. He shared a photo of him and Christina from happier times writing, "Anyone who really knows me knows that I don’t like to share private matters publicly. I have remained silent while holding on to hope. I never gave up on us. I pray Christina’s decision brings her happiness."

Both Christina and Ant seem to be moving ahead in life, even though details of their divorce is yet to be confirmed. Christina purchased a yacht named Aftermath and also held a party of sorts on it, at least that is what is depicted in the pictures she shared on her Instagram. Meanwhile, Ant has immersed himself in getting fit as well as drawing good vibes from the letters that his daughter, Amelie, has written to him.

Tarek El Moussa was reached for a comment regarding his opinion about the estranged Ant and Christina. The HGTV host was more than willing to offer his thoughts about how he felt divorcing his ex but absolutely refused to insert himself into the Ant-Christina divorce situation and held back his comments on this front. "I prefer just to stay out of it," he told E! News. "I'm healthier than I've ever been. I survived cancer twice. My divorce almost killed me and for five or six years of my life, I was a really sick guy and today, I'm just grateful to live and be alive and beat cancer and thrive," he added.

'Flip or Flop' airs Thursdays at 9 pm ET on HGTV.
