Angela insists that her trip to Canada to see her 'crush' Billy is entirely platonic, but her husband Michael isn't so convinced

NIGERIA, WEST AFRICA: Angela Deem mocks Michael Ilesanmi for giving her "misery," whereas her "crush" Billy "brought smiles." Fans were quick to slam Angela for forcing Michael to deactivate his Instagram, while also criticizing him for calling her out for flirting with the Canadian man.

In Sunday night's episode, she defended her bond with her "crush" Billy while throwing her husband Michael under the bus. Angela used FaceTime to introduce Michael and Billy in order to convince Michael to allow her trip to Canada. Angela claimed she was over Billy and only wanted to help a sick friend. Michael, on the other hand, was skeptical.

Despite Michael's plea, Angela said she would "not stop helping this man that I care about." "Babe, how come you can tell your friend you just met recently that you're not gonna leave his side — and me, your husband, you've known for past five years now — you almost divorced me," Michael questioned Angela.

Angela said bluntly, "Because you brought me misery, and [Billy] brought smiles to me in a bad time."

Angela stated in last week's episode that she had formed a crush on Billy after they frequently dueted on each other's TikToks. She believed Michael was icing her and was unsure about the future of their marriage at the moment. Angela, on the other hand, said she never acted on her crush or informed Billy about her sentiments. On Sunday's episode, Michael did it himself. In a heated exchange, Michael questioned Billy if he had a crush on his wife, whom Billy refers to as "Angel." Billy, on the other hand, had no idea Angela had feelings for him and claimed she was only a nice friend.

Despite Angela and Billy's confirmation that there was no romantic relationship between them, Michael (whom Angela has previously accused of flirting with other women on social media) remained envious and uneasy. "I feel intimidated because he's handsome and because if I let her go, she could fall in love with Billy and want to leave me," Michael explained to the cameras. Angela claimed that nothing would stop her from visiting Billy: "If you wanna leave me because of that, then you do it." Michael stormed out at that point.

Calling out Angela on her 'controlling' nature, a fan tweeted, "Angela said Michael knows she’s a strong, independent woman who cannot be controlled. Yet, she insists on emasculating and controlling him like he’s twelve. Michael needs to throw this troll bitch back under the bridge." Understanding where Michael is coming from, a fan wrote, "Yes it sucks that Billy is sick. But had Michael said he was going anywhere to help anyone with anything, she would be calling him all types of b!+ches, threatening divorce and tearing up his stuff. The audacity of this person." Calling Angela a 'hypocrite' another fan tweeted, "All I can think of is how Angela called Michael's female friend yelling at her and telling her to find another friend other than her husband. But she can do this with Billy and even go visit him. She's such a damn hypocrite." A perplexed fan also wrote, "I’m sorry. I still cannot believe that Angela flew across the world to destroy Michael’s car because he had an Instagram. And then has the absolute NERVE to say she has a crush on a guy and say it’s no big deal."

Another fan commented, "Angela is such a damn hypocrite. She made Michael deactivate his instagram at just the POSSIBILITY of him talking to another woman, but she wants to catch an attitude over Michael having an issue with her going to Canada for a man.
